Timex Men's Expedition Metal Field 40mm Watch

Money aside, this is a really nice watch. I have slim wrists and was concerned it would be too big but this isn't the case at all, helped by the fact the watch is slim and not too heavy (Not too light either!). The face and numbers are clear to see in mixed light situations and in the dark the illumination works really well. The strap has a night soft feel to it and isn't glossy with a nice "E" logo on the clasp. These watches don't attempt to promote themselves as premium, but it doesn't look or feel cheap at all. The watch does have a more audible tick than my other analog watches but this doesn't bother me. The only thing I didn't think was great was setting the date, you have to adjust the time 24 hours to change each day but this should only be a one off chore with the efforts on 30/28 day months not taking as long. I'm really happy with this purchase and the watch will be well worn.

A solid, reliable watch for everyday use. The metal strap is sturdy and comfortable, and the Indiglo backlight is super handy. It’s accurate and durable but has a simple design. Adjusting the strap can be tricky. Great value for those who prefer practicality!

This was a quick fix to my hubby's broken watch, last minute buy, he loves it, still can't figure how much it was. I was apprehensive buying the watch 1st time buyer for amazon,, this is a real bargain, for fills the design & spec, glows green, looks elegant without, being too weighty, real leather strap, value for money, durable, an extremely male watch indeed. Modern without looking too simplistic, or too complicated. Love the packaging from the supplier, something so small in a huge box, glad it wasn't in a small envelope package. Delivery time, absolutely excellent.

For the money, this is an excellent watch. I particularly wanted it for the indiglo function as it clearly allows you to see the time in the dark, which is great when you need to get up early. It is simple and straight-forward in design, with a clear and uncluttered analogue display with only the date as additional information. If you want an uncomplicated, no-nonsense, good quality watch, I would thoroughly recommend this one.

I love the Timex Expedition watches. I have found them to keep excellent time and to be of very sturdy construction. The illuminating dial is also a fantasic feature and much more reliable than fluorescent markings painted onto the dial and hands. I have had a number of these watches over the last 10-15 years and they have survived a alot of abuse from working with stone etc. My main beef has been the cases which are sometimes plated with a metallic, often brown, finish . I bought such a watch previously as it was described as being made of stainless-steel, however over 2 to 3years and the rigors of active use and sweat, I was alarmed to see the back of the watch-case became corroded and pitted, eventually showing the base metal beneath. It was at this point it became apparent that the case was in fact plated-brass not steel. When they get to this stage they're pretty gross and unhygenic, so I was looking for a replacement. When I purchased this watch it was based on the photo showing a silver-coloured metal case and the description that assured me the case was constructed of stainless steel. When it arrived, you've guessed it, it was a brown-plated finish over what I'm fairly sure was a brass base. I packed it up and shipped it back immediately. Why does Timex continue to undermine a great product with an inferior metal case? More to the point why is the Amazon description, as found in my previous purchase, so inaccurate? In summary: a solid, reliable watch, but it is brown not silver, and made of brass, not stainless-steel. Please change this description to reflect these facts!

I have had this watch for over eight years and it has never missed a beat. It goes on with my jeans on the weekend and accompanies me through gardening, DIY, mending the car or whatever. Its low profile means it never gets in the way while its solid build means there's no trouble with knocks and scrapes when doing any jobs or outdoor stuff. I don't think I have ever owned a more accurate watch and the indiglo light is very useful in the dark. Over time the metal case began to oxidise and started to cut up my shirt cuffs so I recently painted the edge with silver Hammerite paint! To avoid that, customers may want to consider the stainless steel Expedition versions. In fact, I bought a stainless steel Expedition watch as well to wear during the working week!

After wearing and using this Timex watch, I am mostly happy and satisfied with my purchase. Allow me to explain; it does everything advertised and more. The watch is elegant, and keeps time. Easy to use. My dislikes: the case is very small, almost as it were made for a child. The leather band is hard and not very pliable. I have medium to small hands, but the watch does not buckle on the center of my wrist so it is always sitting to the side; again as it were designed for a child and not an adult. Again, nothing wrong with the watch, it's just a design flaw if the intended use is an adult. In my excitement I threw the packaging away before wearing it, otherwise I would return it. Check the specifications before purchase, nice watch.

Reloj muy bien construido, ligero, sistema de iluminación impresionante, el tamaño de la caja ni grande ni pequeña, la esfera te facilita la hora en un segundo , la correa de cuero con doble pespunte esta diseñada , como no, para este reloj. No le encuentro por ahora ningun defecto.

Buena maquina a un muy buen precio. Presencia elegante, excelente diseño. Lo recomiendo para regalo tiene empaque y finura. Viene muy bien empaquetado dentro de su estuche con las instrucciones.
