Sturdy and well designed
All the components of this rack are up to the task of supporting a considerable amount of weight, and I am not at all concerned about it crashing down. I screwed the hooks into the center of a conveniently placed ceiling joist, and even though I used slightly shorter hooks than the ones provided I’m sure they won’t bend or pull out.I fiddled with it for quite a while but never did get the long side level; the short side is fine. I’m considering replacing the chains with sturdy cables with turnbuckle adjustments so I can make it perfectly level, but in the meantime it works just fine. The rack arrived well packed and double boxed. The nickel finish was protected by plastic wrap secured with hook and loop fasteners. The center grid was slightly warped, but that is absolutely not an issue after you start hanging pans on it.It came with just enough hooks to hang everything I wanted to, but I’ll be getting a few more. I’m learning that there’s an art to hanging pots so you don’t end up with a kitchen version of wind chimes. This rack cost more than another highly rated one, but I think it’s fairly priced for its quality. It’s not quite as impressive as a $600 model I saw, but it looks good and gets the job done.

Beautiful Pan Rack
This item is a Gem. Beautiful color and heavy duty. The Hanger hooks are good for about 500 lbs so they hold the rack fine. They are 3/8 inch steel. Instructions were simple and to the point. We hung all 75 pounds of pans on this rack. Plenty of room and is very attractive.Took me 15 minutes to drill holes in the rafter and anchor bolts.Pan rack went up in less than a minute.

Sturdy
Looks great, the center rack is warped like others have said but it makes almost no difference as it is not really noticeable once you hang pans. I had to get some pine boards to add to ceiling since my rafters didn’t line up where we wanted it. Even with that it looks good and serves its purpose well.

Great warehouse deal, full price seems a little high
First, mine was a warehouse deal for $45 or so. I expected a couple of scratches (possibly the returned model from another reviewer...) and I got them. Nothing major or distracting though. It is plenty heavy and sturdy. The primary purpose in my tiny kitchen was storage. That is where this model excels. Not only is there tons of hanging room (we have two large and one medium frying pans hanging across one side of it), the wire shelf goes from edge to edge. Most of the other oval pot racks I saw had a square shelf in the middle, which would only be suitable for storing one large pot. With the four chains hanging from individual hooks in the ceiling I have no problem putting my largest pot/colander/steamer combo in the middle with a stack of large pots and a stack of sauce pans on either side. Its not at all cluttered with room in between each stack, and everything is easily accessible.Note that the ceiling hooks that come with it are useless unless you happen to have studs right where you need them. There are no drywall anchors at Lowes or Home Depot large enough to accommodate them. I just used large stainless toggle bolt hooks and called it a day. Use four for extra stability and load bearing, rather than all of the chains going to one hook in the center. I read some reviews that the hooks didn't work in studs because the threads are painted- I'm pretty sure a wire brush would fix that problem if your studs were where you needed them.It is presentable, but fit and finish is ok at best when you take a close look at it. Full price is a little high, but as a warehouse deal I'm happy with the product and the huge amount of space that it freed up.

Really nice
Not sure if we installed properly but we have a very small home and this adds a bit of space and helps keep my oven cleared and ready to cook in.

Solid product, but make sure to hit the joists
Solid piece of equipment. Oil rubbed bronze and hooks are great. I have a 9 ft ceiling in my town home, and while there is plenty of room, I obviously don't need the full length of the chains. As you can see from the pic, I had a reasonably creative solution to route the chains, and everything is neat and tucked away. No need to bend or cut metal in the hooks or chains (if you do that, you'll just take the finish off, which looks ugly). This is a DIY project that will take you an hour or two, and you'll need a tall step ladder as well as other appropriate tools. Take your time and get this right, you don't want it crashing down later on. I have a fair amount of heavy cast iron, so it was critical to hit the joists. Recommend you take a lot of time with a stud finder. I even drilled very small pilot holes on either side of where I thought the center was and then one in the center to be sure I was dead on the joist. Then follow the directions for the recommended drill bit size for the main pilot hole for the hooks. It will be a tight fit, so you will want something to help you turn the hooks as they get further in. If you can do it all by hand, you probably drilled too wide of a pilot hole, and risk the weight of your pans pulling it out of the ceiling. I used a common insulated tongue-and-groove 12in set of pliers. In the closed position, with the hook in the middle of the handle, you grip both sides and you have leverage equally on each side sufficient to turn the hook all the way to where it needs to go.

Stop selling broken returns.
Defective product. As usual, Amazon seems to be the reseller of damaged items. The grid has holders to sit it on the frame. Two of the holders are twisted and one seems to have had someone attempt to fix it with a hammer as the paint is chipped off. Don’t buy this product. The box also arrived so damaged it was infuriating.

Expected better at the price
Old Dutch? More like new Chinese - which is where it comes from. It's simply not all that sturdy and the material is not all that thick. Could have gone for a $40 option to get this quality
