Takes time but clears the water
I am using this filter in a 150 gallon bait tank. We keep about 30 pounds of minnows at a time in there. The water kept getting cloudy and a large number of minnows were dying every day. It took about 5 days after installing the filter for the water to clear. Now I rinse the filters when I notice the water flowing too slowly and it keeps working great. The only problem with using it with minnows is that they get into the filter through the grate, so I had to put a net around that part.

Real good for smaller ponds
The filter/pump assembly works great for a pond 50-70 gallons, but I do not think it would be efficient for a pond 150 gallons.
