My dell l/top crashed & 'p57f not loading to os (message id: 21501639)'.so had to restore laptop but lost all my files.will this ssd recover my files?

There's not enough info in your question for a proper answer. You need to know what type of drive you have in your laptop before purchasing an external adapter such as this. There are SATA, M.2 (MSATA), and M.2 NVME interfaces that are not compatible with one another, so you would need to purchase the correct adapter for use with your drive. Then there's the issue of what type of problem you are having. If it's a simple OS corruption, you might be able to use the F8 key to run startup repair. You might also be able to get into Safe Mode in the same manner. Or it could have been the drive itself that failed, in which case you may or may not be able to recover anything. You could also have other things that could prevent recovery, like if you have drive encryption turned on. If you're unsure of what type of USB adapter to buy to convert an internal drive into an external one connected via USB, then chances are you're going to run into several other roadblocks in your days recovery attempts as well. If you want to treat this as a learning experience that will allow you to be more self sufficient with the tech you use, go for it! Just be aware that it could be more trouble and more time consuming than just plugging your drive into an external cradle and dragging your files over to a different computer.

My recommendation would be to find a friend or family member who knows about computers and have them take a look. After that, take it to your local computer shop (not a big box store as they will charge an arm and a leg for inferior service) and see what they can do.

I think the M2 is a industry standard. I have used these cases at work for when we upgrade 500GB HD for 1TB. I am sure a couple are Kingston, dont remember exact models.

According to the Samsung 860 Evo SSD m.2 sata specs on the web, yes.  The various 860 Evo M.2 SATA models are all 22 x 80 mm form factor and the photo provided shows B + M notches in the edge connector, which is what this adapter supports.  That's not a guarantee that it will work, but the Samsung SSD you specify shows the same specs that my Sandisk SSD x600 M.2 2280 256GB have, and it works fine.
