Wand collapses to roughly half its length. For me, this means compact storage and transport. Power tools work with the wand IE power is transmitted from top to bottom of the wand. Price is higher than a Dyson wand but Dyson doesn't sell a collapsible or short wand. I'm using the wand with a V8.

The brush works well. Some people have commented that the brush retracts when in use but the if you firmly pull the red sliding part towards the Dyson it will click and lock the brush in place. I bought at a much lower price - the price I see now is 3 times greater than before.
