Adorable Rapunzel-Like Doll
With a rag doll like look and feel, the Manhattan Toy Soft Princess is as cute as a button with its vibrant elfish clothing and affixed cloth crown. My wife is a fairy tale buff, so she immediately absconded with it and promptly positioned it on a fairy tale themed shelf. It's not your cheap type of rag doll. This one looks like good quality and includes removable velcro attire in case you want to change her into another costume. It also seems to be choking hazard-free, if this is of concern to you. It's a polyester toy made in china, so if you're looking for a bonafide non-toxic toy for a baby, this might not be a good choice. I think this would be best suited for either decorative purposes or a 2+ year old.~ Kort

Sweet little doll
This is a decent play quality doll--kind of like a Groovy Girls doll for younger girls, or girls who are more into fairy tale make believe than fashion. Dolls with simple faces like this are so endearing with their simple, almost cartoonish look.As a seamstress, I can be picky about fabrics. The type of fabric used on much of the main parts of the doll (her hair and "skin") is a nicer quality than the legs, torso, and shoes, but it was nice to see they chose to use a soft, snuggly fabric somewhat like a very low pile plush for the main parts of the doll. (This is the only reason I dropped a star--I wish all the fabrics used had been of similar quality.)I wasn't keen on the color scheme of Holly, or the simplicity of her dress, but since the dress is removable you can purchase other attire from the line, or even sew your own. I sewed the doll a new outfit (second pic).My main concern for kids and this specific doll in the line (Holly) is her hairstyle. While it's very cute, it's a bit in the way due to being fabric. The hair can be tied to one side to get it out of the way, attaching it to the "hair wisp" on the other side. This is shown in the third photo. Instead of doing that, though, I re-sewed the hair differently (seen in second pic), which wouldn't be hard for anyone who sews, in case the hair ends up being an issue.Another thing worth mentioning is that the princess crown is actually a part of the head (it's not tacked on, but sewn as part of the head), and cannot be removed. It might have been nice if the crown attached with elastic, as it limits play a bit in that she pretty much "must" be a princess.Princess Jellybeans Holly is a really cute little play doll for kids who enjoy fairy tale pretend play. While not all the fabrics are of the highest quality, she's still a nice little doll.

Completely delightful and safe even for babies 12 months and older
This Princess Jellybeans Holly Soft Doll from Manhattan Toys is completely delightful and safe even for babies 12 months and older. These are fabric dolls so they are completely soft. The face and hair and arms are made of an ultra soft velour knit fabric. The body is felt and the legs are a brushed, flannel-like fabric. It has a sewn-on, felt crown with embroidered "jewels." The facial features are also embroidered. The doll has a removable, orange, satin dress with attached, net petticoat. The dress has a velcro closure so it's easier for small hands. She also has removable, orange, felt shoes with velcro straps. This doll is enchanting and even though it is safe for young babies, older girls love it, too. My 8 year old granddaughter things she is gorgeous and drags her around everywhere. She's small enough that you can stuff her in a back pack or bag easily. The colors are bright and the satin is shiny and the velour is so huggable. Just a wonderful doll.

Manhattan Toy Princess Jellybeans Holly
When I first saw a picture of this toy I thought it was cute and certainly colorful but, on second thought. I’m wondering if you can carry whimsy and quirky a little too far.The toy seems well-made, and certainly colorful, from soft plushy material. It has three dots for a face and a yellow tube for hair. The recommended age is 12mo.-6years. Our 22 month old took one look at it, said “orange”, and put it back in the toy box. Does she know it’s supposed to represent a humanoid? Maybe. If you draw a smiley face with a frown she won’t look at it and says “bad man”. On the other hand she likes peppa pig which doesn’t look anything like a pig to me so who knows what shadows lurk in a toddler’s mind?Anyway, based on the kid’s opinion, I can only give this toy an “OK” (Three stars). Your kid might love it.

Nice doll, maybe for kids a little older than recommended
This is a fun little doll. My daughter is 20 months, and she is just starting to show an interest in dolls and immediately snuggled it like it was the best thing ever. She carried it around for the rest of the evening-- but even at 20 months, I think she is too young to understand dressing it. She took the clothes off and tried to eat them. For now, the clothes stay put away.Still, I'm sure it will provide her entertainment and comfort going forward.
