Not perfect but worth the piece of mind - works well enough that YOU and those you know should take your safety seriously. Bought my son one and was impressed enough to buy one for me after I saw it work. Spend a little time so it sticks where you want it also check out the flash options. People coming over a hill behind you have a prayer of stopping in time as they can see the highest point of you all lit up! Better than most motorcycle tail lights and much higher! Good value - bought mine on sale. Very bright pretty nice design - battery life is OK but you should check it after every ride so you get a feel for how often to charge it.

The Brake Free Helmet Light is a top notch product to help keep you safe! I commute to work Monday through Friday, and with the winter months here, it gets darker much earlier so I wanted to make sure that I'm seen when I leave work at 6pm when it's dark. Living in Southern California, there are SOOO many drivers that tend to tailgate even when I'm driving. It seemed to be worse when I'm riding. Ever since I started using this, it has been an overall game changer and I've noticed that drivers tend to keep their distance now because i'm more visible. The light is SUPER BRIGHT, and is at the right height to make sure I'm noticed. It comes with 2 different mounts to use depending on the helmet you have so be sure to double check which mount to use because it comes with 1 standard and 1 XL mount. I have 2 different helmets that both take the standard mount so I ended up buying an additional set of 2 standard mounts. I also added one mount to my wife's helmet since she is my passenger and would be on the back of the bike. I would just pop it off my helmet and put it to hers. The mounts are easy to stick onto the helmet, especially since they provide a guide to line it up properly. It has 3 different light modes to choose from and the button is supposedly much easier to access on the later model. I didn't have the Gen 1 version so I can't confirm, but it is fairly easy to reach and press even when riding. It's a must have especially if you're commuting.

Great item for safe riding or just to have on your helmet. Tested item before install, item would flash brightly to notify you of stopping. Item does well and the battery life is quite nice. The item is super easy to use, just attach in the right spot and click light to it. Mounting done in a few seconds. The appearance of the light is great as well because the light itself looks great.

Overall, the product is well designed, with the only drawback being the small activation button, which would benefit from a larger size and more tactile feedback.

I’ve been riding for years, and Brake Free is hands down one of the best visibility upgrades I’ve ever added to my gear. Yep. It works and works well. A bit heavy but I don’t see that as a negative. It seems high quality and sturdy. My one and only complaint is the mounts. Don’t get me wrong they stick - BUT - I have several helmets and would love to interchange..the regular mount works well, the other one included leaves too much space on all my helmets. So it’s not usable. You guys should include a second standard mount or make both types available to buy separately 🤷‍♂️

Everyone in my family owns and rides with a Brake Free helmet safety light. You should too. They are amazing and significantly improve your visibility to drivers coming up from behind you. The one issue that I deducted one star is how much less visible the white model is versus the black model in the daylight. I would strongly advise you just buy the black one, something I wish I had done. Go get yourself one. It's a great piece of mind and helps to reduce rear side collisions and close calls.

Easy to set up on my new Bell SRT helmet. Looks great. Running stealth mode. Tailgaters seem to back off. Would be awesome if they worked with insurance companies to get a riders discount!!! Not complaining but, it would be perfect if the switch would beep, hard to tell if your a pushing the on/off switch while wearing gloves.

The Brake Free is an excellent item that will be very useful for my commute to work, especially the return journey at night. It will help keep me safe during night rides and is very easy to install and operate.

It is amazing how sensitive this light is.Engine breaking is instantly identifiable on the light.It is very bright,and grabs your attention during the day. Others may cost a bit less,but my life is worth the extra cost. Highly recommended.

Really happy with my brake free light on my helmet. So far it's been great, anyone who has driven behind me says it's bright and noticeable. It gives a bit of confidence that I'm more visible as I'm a new rider and I engine brake.

Very easy to install. With cars and trucks with a high mount brake lights, I now feel more protected. Some drivers that I have talked too, says you are hard to see when stopping, what are they looking at? Now all I need is warmer weather to ride my motorcycle. Just want to say many thanks.
