Your plants will thank you for this!
This stuff is amazing ๐คฉ and a bargain, all at the same time. I needed to repot some root-bound sansevieria and a little Christmas cactus that has outgrown it's big box store pot. I'm sold! From here on out I will keep this on hand. First off, it literally swells to at least 5 times from it's original compressed size, and fairly quickly too. It only took 20 minutes at the most. Secondly, you literally can not over water using this medium. It seems to drain better than sand, but holds enough moisture for your green babies. I don't have any plant growth to document at this time, but I'm excited to see how they progress. Did I mention there is minimal smell. And the faint odor I do detect reminds me of wicker furniture when its new. And it seems pure. I did not see any regular dirt in the matrix. Now for my purposes I mixed one expanded cocoa core brick, with 2 large scoops of garden soil, and two spade sized scoops of worm casting (for organic fertilization). OMG ๐ฑ this made for the most beautiful potting soil I've ever seen. I don't think I will ever buy that expensive potting soil again. This is waaaay better and all natural. I love it!

Perfect foundation for starting out a perfect grow
This was a pretty good value for the money for $16. I filled up three 5 gallon buckets of Coco. Iโm not sure if you have looked at the price of a bag of pre-mixed coco but the cheapest bag I could find was about 30 some dollars and thatโs barely enough to fill up one 5 gallon bucket so for 16 bucks I would say the size is amazing. Donโt be fooled by the size of the brick when you get it cause once you put water to it that thingโs gonna expand like crazy! It comes pre-washed in freshwater I like to buffer mine with cal mag and the plants absolutely love it. Their growth is exponential compared to dirt. thereโs a lot of other cocos out there that have other fillers like wood chips and things like that this is 100% Coco husk ground down and compressed. I didnโt find any bugs. Any dirt just coco coir ..if youโre into the whole process of making your own medium for your plants and controlling your nutrients in a stable environment this is the way you wanna go I had a little bit of clay pebbles to mine just to help aeration and they work so well together.

This coco coire brick is an economical way to get a lot of the product once it is rehydrated
It shipped to me quickly thanks. The compacted block was easy to rehydrate. I used hot water which speeded the process. My plants didn't grow well in it until I rinsed some of the salt out of it. That process was a bit tedious I am satisfied with the results. Coco coire is better than peat moss in my potting mix I make because it absorbs water better and holds onto it longer.

Great quality product
I am really impressed with the quality of this product. While cheaper products can be found, when it comes to plants to don't wanna risk to loose, I like to stick to ones that I can trust for that. The bricks came well packed and like mentioned in other reviews, it is easy to store and takes no time to rehydrate it. it has even size particles, and I didn't find any foreign material. I usually hydrate a certain amount and store in a clean 10 gal bucket with a lid, to to be mixed later on with 1/4 potting mix, 1/4 perlite/vermiculite. I kept one bucket for almost 3 months, and even hydrated it didn't smell or rotted....really impressive. I have been more successful with my plants with this mix....really recommend it!

Really impressed with these coir bricks
These were great ! They expanded to at least 5 times the size easily and I was surprised with how much water they were able to soak up. I ordered a 5 pack, the bricks came very firmly pressed and didnโt flake much or lose shape at all during shipping. I like how they have a neutral + pleasant and earthy smell which isnโt very strong. I put all 5 in a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket and added water from my rain water collection containers, after filling the bucket up halfway I left the coir alone for a while and when I came back I found them needing even more water, it surprised me how thirsty these things were. When I was done adding water these things had expanded to fill the entire 5 gallon bucket and they had even expanded past the rim of the bucket. Itโs really impressive how big these things get. Iโve already noticed an improvement in my potted plants and the coir is also great for cuttings and starting seeds. I also found the coir to pair really well with a generous ratio of perlite and a little bit of added potting soil for my succulent cuttings. The perlite breaks up the texture and letโs it dry out so the cuttings arenโt too moist.

The quality was good 4 of out of 5. It had a good moisture retention and not lot of debris although it did had a little bit of a smell. However, make sure you have a big enough container I have a 21 l container and I had to soak the part that I was going to use and cut the rest

So far impressed with product. Got almost a full wheel barrel full from that one brick. Was able to do 2 raised gardens and many pots with top mulch to help with drought. Hopefully helps with keeping moisture in garden. Used around 5-6 milk jugs of warm water to loosen up brick.

Exactly what it says it is. It was nice and clean didn't find any weird bits in it, it was shredded evenly. Used it for reptile enclosures, completely satisfied with the result.

It is a good product, but not worth how much it costs to set it up. You must have pushed water for it. I had to carry 80 litres of potable water to make it. I do not have running water on my property, nor am I close to any water. It's okay for a water catchment system or if you have a well/ pushed water with a hose, but I don't. My water is 175$ delivery charges, at 70$/ brick of coconut coir, this is not cost efficient and does not expand anywhere near what they are claiming it does.

We buy this product to use in our composting toilet. It is very effective as a bulking product. We cut the bricks into smaller pieces and moisten them until they expand. The bricks are easy to store as well.
