Although not the cheapest lip balm on the market, this is well worth the money. It has a good consistency so that it adheres well without being sticky or greasy, I find it makes a pretty good base for lipstick. As a regular cold sore sufferer, I decided there was nothing to lose by adding this to my arsenal in the war against these nasty, painful sores. Whilst I can't say that this lip balm alone is some kind of magical cure, I can say that it is a very soothing addition to be used along side all the other tools in the weaponry, namely red light therapy, lysine tablets, cold sore patches and even one of those gadgets that blasts cold sores with all the heat of a blast furnace. All have a place in keeping them at bay, but I like to think that this lysine lip balm also helps keep them at bay whilst soothing dry lips. I will definitely buy this again and, frankly, if you want to try almost anything to keep your cold sores away, you have little to lose, much to gain and softer lips into the bargain.

The best lip balm, only one I use now.

I use this along with L-Lysine tablets to keep cold sores at bay. It's a nice moisturising balm, not too oily and lasts a long time. My only gripe is that I can't use the last 15% of the tube as with the thread fully turned there's still half an inch of balm in the tube which either drops out or is unusable (see attached picture).
