Coccyx Seat Cushion - Medium (60-90kg)

It’s dense and sturdy. A little hard but I think that’s what’s needed to be fair. It’s comfortable and aleviates my coccyx pain.

I retired a few years ago but still spend several hours per day (~ 4-6) in front of a computer as I'm doing some programming and some other smallish science jobs. In addition I spent probably 3 hours a day in front of the TV. Because getting up of any sitting position and the sitting itself became kind of a problem (some days more some days less; muscle pain mainly thighs) I was looking for a solution. some weeks ago I bought a new office chair; although expensive it did not help. To be honest my couch seat also contributed to the problem because the foam rubber seems to be worn off a bit. Anyhow I found this cushion and thought I give it a try. I have spent now about 70 hours altogether on this cushion (5-8 hrs per days); used it on my computer chair and on the couch. The pain is gone and I have no problem to get up quickly. It's honestly more than I expected. "Orthopedic" might sound to younger people as they would not need such a thing, but I'm sure everybody (any age class) would benefit from using such cushion when the people spent several hours in sitting position a day. As I said the computer chair did not help but with the cushion on the chair it worked wonders. You pay for a simple straight seat cushion already ~10 pounds, why not going for something which is close to £20 mark but which is really comfi and corrects your position seemingly. I would suggest to produce this cushion also in two sizes (as it is 45cm wide) and one about 50cm wide for some overweight people. In addition why not produce one which can be used on a garden chair, like in green or dark wine red? I'm now a converted cushion user and I hope you will be too. Don't expect an effect after a few hours and the cushion will not replace the need for some movement/walking, but it is just great when you sit. Give your spine a chance.

Bought this in 2021, medium firm (although apparently I should opt for the firmer one). Very comfortable and has lasted extremely well, still usable but I'm picking up another one for the car and because I think this one has maybe lost just a smidge of it's bounce after daily use for several years. The only critiques I have are: I wish it was just a touch wider so it properly fits my chair and/or bottom. I think a version that was about 2" wider would do. The cutout, for me, is just a bit too far apart, so I have attached duct tape and pulled it inwards just a bit to make it fit perfectly (and it's much more comfy when it fits just right - supportive vs falling down the hole). I have seen others that use something like a backpack strap to pull that bit into shape, something like that would be useful as improvised solutions like tape do drift a little over time. Overall it is very comfy and the contour is well suited to sitting on for long periods. Zero coccyx pain too since buying it, although that wasn't the primary reason.

This is an excellent product which makes sitting on a chair immediately more comfortable, specially if you have back problems. It's so good I have ordered another for the send chair in my office.

When this arrived it was folded in half, but left to relax overnight it settled into position. At first it seemed a little firm, but with use it's moulded to my contours, allowing me to sit for much longer periods without experiencing any back pain. As a side bonus, it prevents me from sitting with a leg curled under me - not the best position. Overall I can't recommend this highly enough.

Very well made but so hard you’ll end up hurting your sit bones. This was the standard medium firmness. Maybe try the soft one.
