AVANTEK Sleep White Noise Machine, 20 Soothing Natural Sounds Therapy for Baby, Adults, Office, Relaxation, 7 Timer Settings, USB Powered (White)

I bought this white noise machine to help my toddler sleep in a noisy household. I have used it for about 2 weeks now, every night, on continuous from the minute we start the bedtime routine until he gets up the next morning ( about 12 hrs). It has been brilliant. I have only used one of the "fan" noises but flicking through the others there are plenty to choose from if using for other purposes. I'm also as Pilates teacher so might use the birdsong noise in class at some point if I'm teaching a relaxation session. The timer works well and the volume has a good range (I use the quieter setting with our toddler but it will go up much louder than I suspect I would ever need). Our toddler has slept noticeably better since we started using this noise machine as it seems to stop him getting woken by the other children and adults in the house. I love that it is mains powered so I don't have to go through loads of batteries and I love that it can stay on or be used on a timer. It is quite small and unobtrusive too. It has a small green led light on the front but other than that didn't enjoy any light. I would give it 100 percent as it ticks all the boxes I needed it to tick.

With one year old triplet babies sharing a room this item has been realy helpful in getting them all to sleep and nap at the same time, and also to avoid them waking each other during the night if one has a nightmare or other disturbance. We use it on the loudest of the white noise settings which sounds inordanantly loud when you turn it on but it works wonders. They've never been so rested. And in the daytime you can switch it to more awake sounds (such as the birds tweeting) if you want a nice alternative soundscape. Highly recommended.

Nothing I dislike about this box, sound is perfect, lots of sounds and play times to choose from, handy size although I just use it in the same place and my newborn has really taken to it making sleep/calming down times SO much easier.Only thing I didn't like was that I thought I brought it brand new but when I received it the box was tatty and had obviously been opened and sent back for whatever reason...so that made me a bit dubious about it working. But alas it works fine and it does exactly what it says on the tin.Oh decent cable length also but no USB plug but I'm sure that's not a prob nowadays to many.

The media could not be loaded. This is a smart looking and very flexible sound machine. I bought this for my 4 month old son to help his sleep. After trying out some of the sounds, we discovered that he loves the lowest white noise sound - in fact he went from sleeping 5 hrs straight to 10 almost overnight. The sounds are really realistic and and can play for hours - even on a timer.There are only 2 down points:First, none of the buttons light up. So editing it in the middle of the night is a little tricky unless you know it well.Second, the lights for the timer are quite confusing until you realise it's like binary. The lights represent 1hr, 2hrs and 4 hrs - each light that shows you add together to get the amount of hours selected on the timer. The manual doesn't say this so it can be a bit confusing!Other than that, it's simple enough and the memory settings mean you shouldn't need to edit it that much. It's smart looking but small enough to hide somewhere should you want it out of reach. It comes with a USB lead but no plug which is no problem. Worth the buy!!

After trying unsuccessful with a couple of other white noise machines for my son I was recommended this one by a friend. I wish I had ordered it sooner and saved my money on the others. This one has so much control - loads of sounds and the ability to have it play continuously is a real winner. I can't say it helped my little boy sleep through completely, but it certainly reduced the early wake ups when my partner crashed around getting ready for work. Worth the money!

My son has always had a white noise/fan-type machine in his room, to block out outside noise. His Marpac machine broke and I was worried about replacing it with something as effective, but also wanted to spend a bit less this time round. This machine is fab. Lots of different sound types and a really good volume range - it can go really loud! I didn’t award 5 stars for sound quality, as when you’re in the room a while, and tune in to the noise, you can pick up on very faint little beeps in the background of the noise recording. Once you’ve heard them, they start to feel a little annoying, but never cause a problem with falling asleep. My son has never picked up on them anyway - he zonks within minutes.

I bought this as I cannot sleep without a fan on in the background, and it was costing me a small fortune. It worked fantastically all night (9hrs) and was consistent! It has a good variety of sounds to choose from and great volume control too. Some of the sounds are off ('running water' and 'bird' sounds are very fake & cheesey) but I wanted it for the white noise/fan/air-conditioning etc sounds, which are very realistic and perfect. It doesn't come with a USB plug, but it's an easy remedy and almost everyone has a spare plug for one anyway. Definitely impressed and definitely reccomend!

It’s like magic. I replaced a bedroom fan (which I used for noise) with this. I have triplets and this is amazing at drowning out background noise. I use it at bedtime and it’s great for helping them drift off on their own. I set a 1hr timer when I go to bed and it reduces the noise gradually rather than promptly stopping. If they wake up, I just pop this back on and they fall back asleep. It also helps the other two to stay asleep if one wakes also. Definitely worth the money.
