Simple mouse traps, Bait sold separately.
The bait stations are simple black plastic boxes. Bait is sold separately, but relatively cheap. This is the cheapest package of stations I could find on Amazon. The key is unique and useful, but you can pry them open with a screwdriver if you need to. (see photo)Mice eat it and go die somewhere else, not in the stations.Pros:- Cost is best on Amazon for these types of stations.- Strong plastic lasted through a Minnesota winter easily and still in great shape.- They are perfect for small mice, nothing huge- Hard to open so safe for kids and other pets.Con:- No obvious sign if they are working or not.Summary:Cheap simple traps, Bait sold separately, sturdy plastic, hard to open (safe for kids, pets)-- This is how I rate my purchases --5 Stars: Product works exactly as advertised, is a good value at the price point purchased, and I would buy it again or recommend to a friend.4 Stars: Product works exactly as advertised, fit/finish are what you'd expect when purchasing this type of product, but the product may leave more to be desired.3 Stars: Product generally works but it may not be a good value at the price point or may need some improvement. I probably wouldn't buy it again.2 Stars: Product barely works but can be made useful if you try. I would not recommend for purchase.1 Star : Product does not perform as intended and in my opinion is probably a waste of money. That's my review scale. I also want to point out that if I receive a product that I would give three stars or below to I usually contact the vendor and let them know the problem. The vast majority of the time they are willing to replace or refund my purchase. This is why you'll see very few three or under review from me. I hope that is of some help to everyone! If this review was helpful I would love it if you could reply YES to the question below "Was this review helpful to you?" Thanks so much!

Great price, works awesome!
I live in the country and mice have always been an issue. I decided to become more proactive and place mouse bait stations everywhere outside. This was something I had not done before; I was just using mouse traps in the house. I placed them about 6-10 feet apart around the outside of the house and placed them in the corners of the inside of the shed where we keep the wood pellets. I bought 18 of them and now realize I should have made a note of where I put them since I might forget where they are when I go to refill them. I have had to refill them every week and have noticed a HUGE reduction in mouse activity in the house and I have smelled the dead mice as well. I can't stand the smell, but thankfully it doesn't last long and I would rather smell dead mice then see live ones! (yes, I would have removed dead mice if I could find them, but can't!) I bought a can of the Big D and it works like a charm to get rid of the mice odor. Control Fogger, Covers 6000 Cubic Feet, Mountain AirI bought the mouse bait at the local tractor supply store for about $15 bucks for 4 pounds of bait. The little blocks of mouse bait fit nicely. Just make sure you keep the "key" that comes with the stations in a safe place or you won't be able to use the stations again. I would not keep the mice bait stations in reach of a dog since they are small enough for a dog to put in their mouth and chew on them, nor would I put them in a house unless you felt you really had to. Dead mice in a house...ick.

Nice for field mice
Savory food for unsavory mice.Upset stomachs will make them think twice. The bait stations are what they are. They are empty black boxes. You have to buy bait for them separately. You place the poison bait in them. Mice eat. Mice die.My bait stations did not come with a key, but a flathead screwdriver works just fine.Pros:+ The plastic is not brittle. This should allow the lid to open and close numerous times without breaking.++ Nice size for field mice. The entrance "holes" are approximately 1" x 1" square.+++ It is difficult to open the lid. This is a positive for kids or pets.Minor Cons:! Obvious, but still a con - The lid is black. You can't see how much bait is left.! The lid is hard to open. This may not have been a con if I had received a key.The Short Story:. Buy them if you have field mice.. Buy bait for them in order to feed the field mice.... Mice eat.... Mice die.

Nice bait stations, keeps bait dry
These bait stations are designed nicely, so they keep the bait dry. Seem to work well and I like that they are easy to clean out and small enough to not be real noticeable to neighbors when they are sitting around your house. They are way better than the clear top bait stations that come with the Tomcat bait when you buy small quantities in the store. Those clear-top ones leak water in which ruin the bait. They also can't be cleaned out easily. These came with two keys. Before I open these to check the bait, I look into each of the two tunnels just to make sure there's no mouse that's going to jump out at me when I open the top. Never found one in there during the daytime though. :-)It's nice to order a half dozen or more to put around the outside of your house to see where you get the most action and where the mice are coming from. The side of our house where we thought we had all the mice had bait stations that weren't touched. And another side seemed to be getting all the action. It's good to figure all that out, and then you may be able to narrow down where they are getting into your house and seal up any potential holes and cracks. For those who say these bait stations are too small for mice, they are not. A mouse can fit into a hole the size of a dime. If the rodents in your yard are too big for this, then you likely have rats and need a bigger rat bait station.
