It was so water logged, it was next to impossible to overcome being soaked with so much water. I think the objective may have been to ensure it arrives in relatively good shape. However, packing the plant with so much water, where no air can get in to dry it out, nearly killed it entirely. It only had two leaves that didn't fall off, the rest of the leaves just fell out of the packing, because they had already fallen off while in transit.
