I recently bought a retractable washing line and quickly noticed that my washing was touching the lawn towards the centre of the line. So I got myself one of these line props. It is sturdy and can extend as tall as you want. The real plus is that when it is not in use it slides into itself for easy storage... It is good value for money and ticks all the boxes, so it gets a 5 star rating from me... Highly recommended

Can confirm that this pole will do precisely what you want it for. It props things up, including but (presumably) not limited to my copious amounts of washing (seriously, where does it all come from) and the wing nut means it stays up unless I want it not to. Also it's green which means I'm not blinded like I was by the old one (silver...) Update: have had it a couple of months and there are dents from the wing nut screw bit. The top has come off a couple of times but you just pop it back in. Still holds things though!

Cheapest and best for me as light to use but substantial to do the perfect job.

This prop is ideal for what it's designed for, the little hook device on the end holds the washing line without the danger of it falling off. It's a good length as it's extendable ... but here is the issue. The screw/nut which you twist to loosen the mechanism is a little tricky to turn as it a little small to grip both the sections in order to loosen them. This really let's This prop down as, other than that, it's a good prop. In all, if you don't mind leaving this extended then this is well worth the money, but, if you want to shorten/extend it then be prepared for a bit of a struggle each time.

The plastic screw which holds the pole extension in place screws perfectly when the extension pole is absent. However as soon as I insert the extension pole the screw does not screw in to hold the pole in place. It appears to slip off the curve of the pole. I couldn't be bothered to return so have resorted to duck tape which is holding the poles together for now. Not ideal. I examined my old pole which I have been using successfully for years and it has a metal washer type insert to aid screwing the plastic screw. It seems to me that most repeat items bought these days are of an inferior quality to the previous purchase. I would rather have paid more to have a better product.

This was easy to install, convenient and far better than a rotary clothesline, Looking forward to sheets that smell of sunshine.

Line attachment was broken on arrival and had to be super glued. Otherwise this prop is strong and good value for money
