Carrera Digital Electric Slot Car Racing Track Set Includes Two Cars & Two Dual-Speed, D132 Pole to Podium

Bought this one for ‘19 Christmas for my 6 year old son, and to be honest, for myself. Overall, after 3 days of play, I am very happy with my purchase. Details on the cars are great, track work perfectly, and it is very fun to play. Box arrived in good shape, no missing parts. Instructions are not super detailed for American standards, but still easy to follow and enough to put it together (YouTube always works). Tracks also felt good quality. Bridge legs can be improved. It took around 20-30 minutes to put the skeleton of it together, so we can play little bit (my 6 year old son was very, very exited), then another 15 minutes to install guard rails. After setting speed, break settings, it was hours of fun play. It is straight forward to set one of the cars on auto, lapping by itself, then racing it together. Few improvements (or the way I would have bought if I I had more experience with slot cars before): - Cabled controllers are somewhat limiting. Cars go off-track (especially for my 6 yo son), so we have to stop, drop the controller, go fix set the car back on track, come back, settle , pick up, continue... this is somewhat annoying when happens tens of times. I would have buy the set with wireless controllers from the beginning for sure. - Cars have great details and looks very cool. But 2 of the cars spoilers broke after few crashes. Also Porsche’s one headlight went off. I would expect cars to be built tougher, hoping they should last for years, considering the price (~$50 each car...) After playing with the set for 3 days, I now ordered a set of wireless controllers, a lap counter ( not possible to make a proper race without one), and the ranking tower. I also ordered additional Mercedes GT3, so we can race 4 people. With all these, I spent north of $600 so far. I hope this set last for years... I will update once I receive new parts and have more play. So far, lots of fun.

Awesome purchase is first thing. If your looking for something like this definitely what you want to start with. Easy to set up and build tracks and has great durability. Easy to control cars and you want the app has so much more to add to it. Fun for all ages from young to older. Definitely one of the better built ones for sure. Addittions are easy to add as well as many car options. Well worth it by far. Our cats love chasing the cars so possibly pet friendly as well.

Carrera is street's ahead of Scalextric or any other consumer slot car racing sets. If you have the space, go for Carrera, but if you are tight for space, scalextric has amaller track and you'll fit more in. The 1/24 cars are more detailed and are great fun to drift. Speed and brake settings are handy for the kids. Highly recommended.

Buen precio, excelente calidad

First time using Carrera (had a Scalextric set when I was a young lad) and it was easy to assemble the track and start racing. The GT cars are surprisingly quick and have great details. All in all a lot of fun for the adults and children.
