Google OMTP vs CITA to see the difference in standards. **Q: Is this compatible with laptops?** A: Depends on the jack you're plugging it into; the 4 sections of the pole are set up in an OMTP config. so if your laptop jack is OMTP, yes. If your laptop uses CTIA (like new MacBooks) then, no. Google "OMTP vs CTIA" to see what I mean; the microphone & the ground are swapped in the 2 different standards so although the headphone part will always work, the microphone on the headset you plug into the adapter might not be detected by your laptop.It's convoluted, I know! The only way I found out is that I bought them, tried them on a 2015 MacBook Pro and they didn't work! :-(I had to buy an adapter to plug this into that reversed the ground & mic (which I haven't gotten to try yet). **Q: Not sure - does this work well on MacAirs and iPads? how about Galaxy's and Androids?** A: It does NOT work on the Macbook Pro; requires a USB adapter; my guess is that you would have the same results with the MacAir.I *have* used it on a Galaxy S 3 (Android) without problem; I suspect it would work with other 3.5 mm combined input devices. **Q: Hello!
