Horizon Industries Pool Pump Cover - Protects & Covers Motor for Sprinkler, Well, Spa - Model 2PMC16

Very happy with this and I would absolutely purchase again. I bought to replace a severely damaged cover for the well pump that serves our irrigation. Previous cover (which was already damaged when we purchased the house), was decent, but this one is thicker and feels more sturdy. Additionally the fit is much lower profile, while still providing plenty of space for air flow around the pump. I also really like that it's a light color, as not only does it help it to visually fade away more, but it also will remain cooler through the very intense sun we have here. I would not hesitate to purchase again.

Pool pumps are expensive they deserve protection from the elements. Fits over my hayward superhuman. Looks great. Quality materials should last a long time

Purchased a new pump for my above ground pool because the old one began to trip the GFCI every time we had any significant rain and I wanted to provide protection for the new unit. I purchased this product after reading reviews of this and similar products because it seemed to be the best option for my 1HP Pentair Dynamo motor but I also knew I'd most likely want to modify it to fit based on product reviews. As shipped, the product would fit over the motor portion of the pump and, when fastened to the pump base, would certainly protect it from the elements. The issue I had is that it is much longer than the motor so the closed end would be 4" or so from the rear of the motor when the front end was up against the pump outlet fitting. This was ok (the motor is protected) but it made it difficult to reach in and flip the on/off switch at the rear of the motor. I solved the problem by cutting a hole (2 1/2 ") at the front of the cover that fits over the pump outlet and now the rear of the cover sits right at the back of the motor. (See Picture) I then fastened the cover to the pre-fab base that the pump and filter sit on. I still rate this unit as 5 stars because it does exactly what it says it will do and I understood that I would likely have to modify this generic product to fit my needs.

My pool maintenance guy had advised me to consider a cover for my new Pentair Superflo 2hp Variable Speed pool pump. The main electrical control panel has been known to malfunction due to excessive exposure to heat and rain. A protective pump cover is the best preventive measure. There are two Horizon Industries pool pump cover models: Regular cover measures approx. 16"L x 12"W x 11 3/8"H. Variable speed cover measures approx. 16"L x 12"W x 15.5"H (more vertical clearance for the larger control panel). Designed to cover only pump motor end with the electrical connections. The pump basket and impeller areas are not covered: see pic. Likes: *Comes pre-assembled. *Made of a thick, durable looking, and hefty plastic. *Just slide over one end of the pump to cover up the sensitive electrical components. *Even though my Pentair Superflo is a VS pump, the regular pump cover still fits with adequate clearance for the control panel. The VS model cover was too high for my pump setup. *Keeps the pump cooler during very hot days while still allowing sufficient ventilation with the cutouts and perforations. What I've noticed: *Priced a bit high for a simple plastic cover. *It would have been simple to fabricate a cover out of sheet plastic, but using this pre-assembled pump cover saves time and energy. Overall: Worthwhile expenditure for maintaining the longevity, durability, and reliability of my new pool pump.

My new pump sits on a small concrete pad. Seemed like a good idea to protect the end where all the wiring connects. Considered building a traditional pump cover. A little math showed that just the materials would cost more than this pump cover. And such a cover may be awkward to move out of the way if I have a need to access the pump. Decided to try this pump cover. Sort of a "why not" moment. Upon receiving my pump cover I was somewhat surprised at how sturdy it is. I considered securing it to the pump's pad, but decided to just set it in place to see what happens. Turned out to be a good decision since the cover has never moved even the slightest. I suppose it's shape has something to do with this. And quite frankly, it's not unattractive at all. I believe this cover was a very good choice, would buy again, and would recommend to others.

Speedy delivery. Exactly what we wanted and exactly as described. Should provide a longer life for the pool pump motor, YIPPEE SKIPPEE. Great product.

Very durable. It has vent holes to keep air flowing to and from motor and helps protect from rain and other debris. The price was fair in comparison to the local pool supply store.

I am an Mechanical Engineer and I am 100% Extremely Pleased with pool pump motor cover. The form, fit, and function as a pool pump motor cover pump motor cover was perfect for my 1 1/2 horsepower Hayward pool pump. Price was a little high but product well worth the price - I would definitely purchase this product again.
