The good news is that this part works perfectly, and has for the past two weeks, and immediately put out the red triangle alarm. The bad news is that I didn't know if this part is genuine. It doesn't say "Aisin" on it anywhere and doesn't have any kind of part number or marking at all. Is it legit? Only time will tell. But once I removed the driver's side headlight, replacement was trivially easy and the repair job only took about half an hour! I sure hope this holds up.

I installed this in my 2008 Prius. It looks just like the original. I installed the Dorman pump from NAPA before I installed this one because I didn't have time to wait for this one in the mail since the original pump had stopped working. The Dorman worked, but it's about twice the height, and twice the price as this pump. I had the Dorman pump in my car for three days before I received this pump and replaced it. I then cleaned the Dorman pump and returned it to NAPA for a full refund, no questions asked. I then bought a second one of these to have on hand if-and-when the first one quits working. I have put 8,000 miles on the car with this pump so far.

This item is still working great months after install.

I like that this pump fixed my 2004 Prius Inverter Cooler Water Pump Over Heating Problem. I could physically see this pump was circulating the coolant much better than the original pump, which I couldn't see any appreciable fluid movement at all. After the repair I drove for over 3000 km without any error code or over heating problem. So far so good.
