Perfect solution for posts on my deck
The top of 12 posts on my 20 year old well maintained deck were starting to rot out. After extensive internet search, I found these post caps available via Amazon. My post are rough Cedar or exactly 6"x6" more or less. Bevels were cut on top of my post as shown in attached photos. These post caps fit perfectly on the top of my post. I installed 12 of them in less than 10 minutes. I considered cleaning, primer painting, and then painting them to match deck color and glue on with construction adhesive. I decided against that since when deck needs to be refinished, contractor can remove and replace post caps without taping off. They are not going anywhere just sitting there. If for some reason, one or two blow off, which is unlikely, I can just put it back on. I did not have to do any modifications to my deck post to install these caps. Also, I have two posts next to house siding. It was easy for me to slip these post caps in tiny gap between post and house siding. Awesome solution for my particular case!

These look really nice!!
These are perfect for the tops of our deck posts after we installed horizontal cabling to replace worn out wooden spindle rails. Note - we wanted galvanized metal, which these are! If you are looking for a shiny metal, these are not super shiny (again, this IS what we wanted!). Delivery was relatively fast - better than we would have gotten from other sources of similar items. Also, the price was a little less than other similar items, so a win all around!
