A: The on/ off switch is under the top part of the lamp.You will need to gently turn it to remove it
If you look at the item ,you will see that there is a detailed photo of the on/ off switch location

**Q: How tall is this in feet?**
A: Under 2 feet. Very small. I sent it back as wanted a tall one for our garden. Also very flimsy
