Although I only took the scope out to 200 yards at the range, I zeroed in on mailboxes from my front yard over a block away and the clarity was phenomenal. I won't comment on the sensitivity of the scope while focusing. Suffice it to say, any scope focusing on an object hundreds of yards away is susceptible to minute vibration. My trip-pod has a quick release connection and that leaves a little play in the scope connection. In hindsight, I would have ignored the quick release feature and would have purchased a tripod with a more staple mount system. Once focused, the clarity is spectacular. If you can afford a Swarovski spotting scope, kudos to you. But if you want a very reasonably priced scope that will perform admirably, I recommend this scope. I tried several others before purchasing this scope and the primary problem with the others I tried was eye relief issues. I had no eye relief issues with this scope. Start on low power, center your target, fine focus and then rotate focus wheel to a higher power. You can then fine tune the scope and you are ready to sight-in your firearm.
