Super concentrated
My family has very thick, coily, dry hair. This shampoo cleanses extremely well, if your hair is prone to buildup or you need to clarify, this is great. It didn't dry my daughters hair out too much, and cleaned my partners hair very well after his braids. Their hair didn't feel brittle or extremely dry after washing. The shampoo isn't heavily scented, there's more of a faint lavender scent, so if you have sensitive skin, it also think this would be good.

Pretty nice!
I’ve been using this for a little less than a year now (bought twice!) and I actually really like the smell. I don’t know if it made my hair silkier or not but I really like the way it foams and feels on my scalp and hair while washing it. It works well for me and I have an oily scalp with dry dyed hair.

Deep Cleans Oily Roots Without Drying My Fine, Damaged Hai
The Ayunche Refreshing Shampoo works really well for my fine hair with an oily scalp and damaged lengths. It gives my scalp a very thorough clean without leaving my hair feeling stripped or overly dry, which can be a tricky balance for my hair type. I also noticed it adds a bit of shine to my hair. The clear gel formula uses stronger cleansing surfactants like Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, which do a great job removing oil and buildup from the scalp, but may not be the best for those who color their hair. For my oily roots, that deeper cleanse is actually a positive. At the same time, the formula includes some conditioning ingredients such Polyquaternium-67, and Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, which help keep the lengths from feeling dry or rough. I don't know that I would use it on my damaged hair every day, but I like that I can use it several times a weeks and my hair still feels soft and manageable after washing, even though my scalp feels very clean. One of the most noticeable features is the cooling sensation from Menthol. It gives a refreshing tingle on the scalp that lasts for quite a while after getting out of the shower, which I really enjoy. The scent is fairly strong and leans a bit toward a “men’s” fragrance, but it doesn’t linger much once my hair dries. One thing to note: the first time I used it, my face was a little dry and irritated from winter weather, and the menthol felt a bit uncomfortable, like a slight burning, when some of the lather dripped onto my skin. If you have sensitive facial (or other) skin, that’s something to keep in mind. Performance-wise, it definitely deep cleans the scalp without causing rebound oiliness, which is something I often worry about with stronger shampoos. The ingredient list includes Climbazole and Sodium Salicylate, which are often used in products to help keep the scalp balanced and comfortable. The shampoo hasn’t extended the amount of time I can go between washes yet, but it also hasn’t made my scalp oilier faster either, which I consider a win. With more use, it may help with oil control more. The bottle contains 7.0 oz, which is slightly smaller than the 8 oz shampoo size I usaully get, but the $24.99 price at time of this review (March 2026) still seems reasonable given how well it works. Overall, this shampoo strikes a nice balance for fine hair with oily roots and more fragile lengths: it cleans thoroughly, feels refreshing on the scalp, and doesn’t leave my hair stripped or brittle. If you’re looking for a shampoo that really cleans the scalp while still being reasonably gentle on the lengths, this one is definitely worth trying.
