Manually screwed this up a little more than halfway with some extra leverage just to see how it was. That's about 9000 pounds on the side I was lifting and it was a workout probably because of the position but it did it. Used a hydraulic jack for the rest of the way but if you have enough leverage it can be easy.

October 2023. Purchased two Esco 20 Ton Short Swivel Jacks to lift my large SUV during a front end rebuild. These jacks provided the stability, fine adjustments and highest quality engineering and construction I needed to give me the added reassurance and safety while working under my vehicle. My SUV never shook once as I ratcheted, disassembled ball joints and control arms etc. They are pricey compared to a cheaper jack stand but price is irrelevant when it comes to my safety. Highly recommend these for anyone who is looking for top quality jack stands.

Wow! These are very heavy duty. They weigh 60# EACH! I bought a pair, to use to level out my sagging deck. Nice wide bottom, should not require any boards etc. for support. Heavy duty thrust bearings, and big handles on screw, and to carry. Just remember, 60 pounds each! 20 ton capacity !!! They arrived via UPS, with holes in the boxes, and the handles sticking out. Driver was concerned, until I opened one, and showed him, they are all welded construction, heavy gauge steel. You could run over them with a tank, and not hurt them.

Safety is priceless! I feel safe to work under any vehicle or engine supported by this jack stand. Lowering/lifting is precise and easy, range is great. Good for leveling a vehicle when on uneven terrain. Versatile, best to use in sets of 2 or 4. One of the reasons I bought it, was its wide base, providing great stability. (Common sense is still needed for safe and correct usage). As I wrote above, this tool will last for generations! Keep it away from rain and protect the thread from welding and other contaminants, keep it lubricated. I will make a custom sleeve to cover and protect the thread while is raised. Highly recommended!

Very happy with these jack stands. I plan on buying the tall versions as soon as I can. The thrust bearing makes it easy to make fine adjusts. 60 plus pounds each. These are made of heavy duty steel with a wide base and a good top. I'm expecting to have these forever.

These stands are awesome!!! We have them hold up a Case 115B Bulldozer, theses things are solid. Well worth the money for use on heavy equipment.
