Great product to put in the bottom of self watering pots
The self-watering pots from Lechuza are the best system for watering plants that I have tried! Simply put the plants in there and let it grow. We have used these for about one year and we have purchased more and more in different sizes, now we have about 15 pots. We use the for all types of plants, inside the home and also outside. Outstanding quality and well designed. They are a little more expensive, but will keep your plants alive :)

Like the product but delivery wasn't good.
Lechuza Basicpon is great substrate for growing cacti and succulents. It consists of lava rock, pumice and zeolite. Fast draining and retaining just enough moisture for the cacti to have a good drink without risking overwatering. In humid UK weather it's perfect for growing cacti and succulents indoors. I water my cacti in summer with a bit of fertiliser and it seems to be enough. You could also add a bit of warm castings or soil for plants which prefer richer substrate. Can be used with any house plants really instead of perlite. To add drainage and make the soil lighter. Great product.
