Perfect Replacement for 4414 sealed beam on a snowblower
This was an easy drop-in replacement for a 4414 sealed beam on an old snowblower. The Tecumseh engine just provides AC for the headlight, about 13 VAC. I was concerned about the second photo above that only says DC despite the first photo saying AC/DC The unit I got was marked 12VDC like the second photo above but there was no marking on the terminals for polarity. So I tested it first with power from my car battery. It worked perfectly in either direction, pulling 0.85amps DC at 14.3VDC when connected in either direction. So I figured it would work ok with the snowblower's AC. It does. It fit right in where the old sealed beam was and measured 1.1 amps AC at full throttle on the engine. This was a great upgrade with even, wide illumination, and it is BRIGHT. I did add a 2 amp inline fuse just to protect the engine's stator if something ever went wrong.

This is a flood lamp.
Replaced the halogen lamp in my hand held. It is super bright and does not drain my portable battery. It is more of a flood light than a spot lamp. So it does not project a tight beam. This is OK for me since I use this for tight spaces.

Finally a good quality bulb for my tractor
Just installed these today and boy am I impressed! They are super bright; much better than the replacement bulbs I have been going through. I was going through bulbs rather quickly and getting less than 5 hours out of them. Seems the cold or whatever were blowing out regular halogen bulbs like nothing. These keep a consistent light regardless of the throttle of the engine. They are a little pricey compared to a halogen bulb, but I bet I will be saving a lot in the long run not having to replace them 2 or 3 times a season. I use my old simplicity tractor strictly for snowblowing in Wisconsin. If you are debating these, I would definitely pull the trigger and get them. I am not paid or affiliated to this company in any way. This is a straight and honest review. But I will update if within the 2 year warranty these fail for some reason.

Good replacement for the OEM MTD snowblower from 1997
Didn't know if this was going to work or not. Turns out it works great. Very bright and took about 10 minutes to install - most of that was detaching and reattaching the light fixture. Really, really helpful to use a heat gun to soften the rubber body the lamp itself fits into. No need to use the highest heat setting either. Start at low heat and give it 30 - 45 seconds. That all it took using my heat gun. All you want to do is soften that rubber enough so that the lamp pops out and then goes back in easily. Remember to use some dielectric grease on the wire-lamp connections.

Bright light
This is very bright; seems well built. I read it was a direct fit for a honda snowblower, but it was too small for mine so I made an adapter to get it to fit. Worked fine - runs on 12V AC output from engine.

Bright works awesome
Works awesome , replaced original 4414 on 1997 empty d snowblower . I believe it works better and brighter.

Work great on my old IH Cub Cadet!
They sure are much brighter than the old halogens I had for my lawn tractor headlights! They work great, they're nice, heavy feeling glass, and fit exactly as they should. Good quality impressions, and I'm pretty fussy.
