Would this work on an area where there's hair loss due to a wound scab?

We did use it on his ear where he had a cut and scab. It kept the ear leather soft and helped him not itch as much due to the scab. We also used a women's nylon knee sock cut off the foot, and used the top part as a tub around the head to keep him from flapping his ears or scratching it as much which also helped it heal. good luck ear wounds are hard to heal. If this does not work check with your vet to see if they have a No Flap Ear Wrap -- that is what our Vet called it. It has velcro hook strips around the neck and under the chin and was also very useful when we could not watch him 24/7 as he would scratch but the hood did not come off.
