The radio is solid built like a tank, strong ABS plastic case and water tight. This ver is 14.09 so TyToolZ can't be loaded on this radio but so what it's fine the way it is from the manufacturer. TYT has come along way, their products ,getting better and better as China grows to the top of the electronics manufacturing, this radio is no exception you can tell they are listening to and responding to customers input. It's a great radio for the money, is it a Motorola? No but for what you pay for these you really do get your money's worth. Double Conversion Superheterodyne receiver is a rarity now with most of these Chinese radios most have a Direct Conversion which is the cheaper & easier to make. Do I recommend this radio?
