We’ve gone through 2 of these is almost 9 years. They are a very solid machine.

Amazing Value for the price. Like this brand Homedics. Compact size. Noise level & type of noise produced has 5-6 selections. Definitely Relaxing !

While traveling I stayed over night with friends and this white noise machine was in their guest room; I woke up the next morning after an amazing night's sleep (with my super snorer partner in a smaller than typical bed) and immediately ordered one for myself! I could not have been more impressed! I am not a good sleeper! I require a fan for the noise, or I did before I found this amazing machine. I've tried white noise machines in the past with little to no success, but this one is somehow different. Even my partner likes this and sleeps better and more soundly with it on, and he isn't one to like any sounds while sleeping - my fan was not his friend. We are both sleeping more soundly and waking up feeling better and more rested since we got this! In addition to the sleep quality factor, this is also great because it takes up very little space, is lightweight, and is easily packable for when I'm traveling. It can be powered with batteries (and the cord is removable), which is super convenient for when you're traveling; there may not be an extra available power outlet where you need it. The controls for all the settings are clearly labeled and easy to use and switch in-between.

Ok. First thing first. This unit as far as sound quality goes is exactly on par with its price. This is not a high-end quality speaker/sound system, so the reviews about it sounding "tinny" or high in treble, well that's just a bit "i want my cake and eat it too". The people who claim to hear strange sounds or voices, I have no doubt are. There are a couple of logical explanations. Plugging it into an outlet or even another outlet that runs on the same line (breaker) with one that has a TV or some type of media or appliance etc, may cause interference (humming, voice sounds, spooky stuff, grinding, etc). The other is white noise machines, as well as other items that produce constant noise ( ie bedroom fans), are known to cause auditory hallucinations in some people. Your brain is constantly trying to find patterns in things that have no pattern, like seeing animals in clouds, and sleep machine voices are another example of that. I have the latter issue to some extent, no voices. White noise is the only setting I can use for sleep. It seems to have the least amount of loop sound. The other sounds are ok for about 5 minutes and completely acceptable to use if you are listening just as background sound and doing something else. But if that is all you are listening to and trying to fall asleep you may find your brain focused on searching for a pattern. Once it discovers it, because the loop is about every 4-5 seconds it will become fixated on it. Rain for example has a constant soothing drizzle in the background - no problem, but throughout it, there are faint dripping sounds at different sound levels, the way 4 or 5 different leaky shower or faucet drips would sound one after another (BLOOP, bip, bit, BLAP, bit), then it repeats and repeats and repeats. Summer Night has crickets at different sound levels, I found the pattern after about 20 seconds. Some people may notice this others may not. I really doubt a baby or child would but those who have a tendency to be sensitive to something like that may be better off just buying a pure white machine. And even that may not help auditory hallucinations. Would I buy it again? For the price probably. The white noise for me is fine for sleeping. If I'm doing stuff around the house or working in the garage and don't feel like a radio or tv I turn it on and the other sounds are acceptable because I'm not focused solely on the sound so I don't notice the loops. I have batteries in it so it's portable and for the bedroom, I plug it in. Hope this helps. UPDATE: 12/23/24 and still functioning.

I absolutely love this white noise machine. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my daughter's room. It has several sound options, which are great for sleeping or just blocking out noise if you want to focus or relax. Great for guest rooms or traveling too! I take mine to hotels with me because I hate the sound of slamming doors in hotel halls. I do wish it had a "brown noise" option as well as "white noise," but I still love it. I also like that you have the option to put it on a timer or to just turn it on and leave it on all night. I may just end up with one of these for every room of the house.

I only use the white noise mode, works just as expected. Got this one to travel with, I can’t sleep without white noise and I hate having lots of cords to pack and plugin in unfamiliar places, plus worrying about charging. Wanted to simplify this one thing for myself. This was the ONLY one I could find with a simple AA battery option at a normal price.

I needed a simple sound machine for sleep. This is as simple as it gets. The only two settings that are good (for me) are rain and summer night. The other settings, especially ocean and thunder, loop very close together and are almost grating because of that. Thunder is the worst. I love thunder storms. I do not like faux thunder that has only two thunder sounds and they repeat within a minute of each other. I tried to get through it, but even my husband asked me to switch it to something else because it was just... the worst. So maybe it won’t bother you, but don’t get this if you are hoping to use all of the sounds. Rain, white noise, and summer night settings are all useable for me. Rain is my favorite, because it’s more than white noise but less than summer night. If I need more noise stimulation, summer night is it, less is white noise. The volume control is great, it can get *very* loud if you need it to be- I think I’ve only used a third of the volume at the most and it’s plenty to cover traffic/apartment noise. Sometimes forget to turn it off when I rush out of the house in the morning, or I leave it on for my cat if it’s particularly loud with construction or neighbors in the complex, and it’s never had any issues being on for most of the day/night. If you’re looking for a cheap, reliable, consistent sound machine, this is it. Don’t expect to use every setting, but it’s useable enough to be worth the purchase.

Excelente. Muchas opciones de sonidos, para que elijas el que te gusta más. Buen sistema de audio, se escucha muy natural. Neutraliza todos los sonidos externos (mi cuarto da a la calle y es muy transitada. Funciona perfecto). Mi bebe y yo logramos dormir!

Good basic sound machine. Came with USA plug only. Why is this even still a thing when everything can be a USB cord and not require an adaptor? Behind the times.

This machine is terrible. We bought it for the white noise function but you can hear intermittent repetitive beeps and replaying patterns like bells and chimes in the background of the white noise. It's not there all the time but when it's there, it drives you mad. I thought I was hearing beeping in the walls but its definitely coming from the machine. I'm throwing it away and purchasing a different brand. Also the first day I got it I put batteries in it as it had a plug not suitable for an Australian outlet, and the batteries lasted a few hours, that was it. It must use so much power.
