(Hi, I am writing this hoping this information will help others who's dog might be suffering like our's 'WAS') I rarely do reviews unless something is really bad. Just the opposite in this case for the 'Disc & Spine' Chews. they are a God send for our 4 year old Mini Dachshund. She started having back pain, trouble moving around & trouble going to the bathroom on potty pad indoors. She would try to start on pad, but would continue to poop or pee as she was walking off pad due to pain. Also sometimes when walking her back legs would give out or freeze up, very scary for her and us. After a couple of visits to the Vet with X-Rays (Diagnosed IVDD) and a couple of 2 week rounds of prescription NSAD's & nerve medicine to keep her calm. Medicine helped at first, but then not as effective. They said she may have to go on steroids. We did not want the steroids or surgery unless it was the last resort. We started her on 'Home Therapy' treatments - I read up on these and ordered the Disc & Spine chews - they contain same ingredients as us humans take for joint problems. Based on her weight she gets (1) chew per day. The first couple of days she only got (1/2 chew) to see how she would react, she was fine, no vomiting. She thought it was just a new treat. When we starting giving her (1) chew per day it was still cut in half, and half was given in the morning and the other half was given in the evening. After a week or so she was less interested in the chew as a treat, I guess the taste & smell is not as good as other treats she has. But the ingredients are ESSENTIAL for what she needs for recovery. So all I did was (chop up) the treat real fine with a knife, and mix it with her moist food in the morning and evening. She gobbles it right down with her food, (Mission Accomplished). Effects are not immediate, takes some time to work into their body. Started seeing some results within 2 weeks - better movement and less pain. At 1 month significant improvement, at almost 2 months she's like a new dog again - no pain and potty habits back to normal. Still not allowing her back on the furniture. Even though we had a Foam Stair Ramp in front of the couch and the chair she would go up the ramp, but the majority of the time she would not come back down the ramp, she would just leap off (Like a Flying Squirrel) especially if there was food involved. Once your dog has IVDD they recommend this product should be used for the rest of their life to keep their spine healthy and strong and to prevent re-injury. It is also recommend for dog breeds prone to spine problems to take daily to prevent future problems. I wish we had known, we would have started her on this before the problems started. But, like you always think "That won't happen to my dog". She will now be taking this everyday. While the 'Disk & Spine' Chews are the Main course of her treatment and seem to be the most effective we also added some other proven therapies I will mention. - I used a Red Light Therapy Belt - (660nm Red Light & 850nm Near Infrared Light) (Same Belt I use for myself) Use on (low setting) for 10 -15 minutes. Used everyday at first, now about 3 times a week. Does not get hot just a little warm. Just lay belt on top of their back while they are laying down an still. Be sure to put small blanket up around dogs head to protect eyes for red light in case they move. I always sit with dog the whole time red light is in use. (There is alot of info online about the use of Red Light Therapy on pets). In the beginning in place of the NSAD's we used (Also bought this on Amazon) 'T-Relief' Pet Pain Oral Drops - it is Homeopathic primarily Arnica Montana and other natural ingredients for pain. She's not fond of putting a dropper in her mouth, so we just put the liquid drops on a treat or small piece of cookie and she eats is right up like any other treat. This seemed to help with any pain she was having until the 'Disk & Spine' fully kicked in. Now she does not need it anymore, but it's still here if she does. (Lastly I will mention) We also used 'Bach Rescue Remedy' Natural Stress Relief for Pets - it is Homeopathic (Also from Amazon) This is awesome stress reducer and will help with the nervousness your pet may be having during pain. We also just put (4) liquid drops on a treat or small piece of cookie and she eats is right up. (Bach Rescue Remedy for humans should also be used buy us pet owners while they suffer stress as their pet is feeling bad, just thought I would add that in - We always keep it on hand). (I know this was very long winded, and it has taken me awhile to get it all typed as I am not a typist) I just felt this Disk & Spine Product has helped our dog so much that I wanted to share this info with other pet owners that are looking for a solution to their pets pain.

I believe it does the job, I just started using it but I don’t really know. I’m giving it to my frenchie dog just as prevention, he doesn’t have or hasn’t develop any issues with his discs or spine and hopefully he never does. One thing I noticed is that he doesn’t really like the flavor and hesitates to eat it, sometimes spits it out but always ends up eating it at the end. I will say I recommend it ¨̮

Haven't had this long enough to tell if it's working. But, my baby got diagnosed with IVDD recently and is on strict crate rest for a week to see if he improves. If not, he will need surgery 😢. Hoping these supplemts will help him heal. He isn't a fan of the taste but he is very picky. He doesn't seem to mind eating them after some coaxing. They are like dense gummy candies and they do have somewhat of an unpleasant smell. The one thing I don't like is the packaging, once you remove the seal, the lid does not screw on but loosely fits on top, so not airtight. Will update if I see improvement with these supplements.

My little dog with IVDD loved these and took them as a treat. I wish we had started these for her much earlier when we first got her from the rescue org. I did not know much about IVDD, she was a rescue and a dachshund/pug mix and both breeds are really prone to IVDD. She ended up paralyzed so if you have a breed prone to IVDD I would recommend giving all the nutritional help and supplements you can to support their spines. IVDD is genetic, I know - but supplements can help stave off the worst of it, especially if you start early. I recommend giving these a try.

My baby girl loves her daily treat. She has come to expect them every morning. Has become more of her perky self even though she is a ripe old age of 16.
