This it has strong magnets to connect to your phone. The base of this product may have some magnet issues with a heavy phone and heavy phone case together. Pay close attention to that. Other than that the base magnets are strong to hold up a normal phone & phone case weight. Very flexible to put your phone in different angles. And the hinges can be tightened if they should ever get loose. All in all, I am very happy and satisfied with this product.

This mount is nice. It even can stand without the base being taped down. Sturdy!

This is perfect for what I wanted. Easy to use - my iPhone’s magnetic case quickly snaps right to it with a strong hold. It is compact (when folded) making it more likely to be with me when I need it! I also bought a small tripod that will lift it a bit off the ground when doing low shots - but it works fine without a tripod. I can use my Apple Watch to remotely take the shot when it is in an awkward position or if I want to be in the photo.

I purchased this on January 5th, and I am writing this review on January 13th. It worked fine initially, but after about six days of light use, the rotation mechanism started to fail. The rotating joint became uneven: turning it one way would loosen it more and more, while turning the other way would tighten it. Once this started happening, it became almost impossible to adjust the phone angle properly. If it were even slightly too loose, it would no longer hold the phone in position. If you tried to tighten it carefully, you risked breaking it. Unfortunately, that’s precisely what happened. While trying to re-tighten it today, the joint snapped. This is a design flaw, not user error. A phone mount should not self-loosen during everyday use, nor should careful tightening cause it to break. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Not worth the money. Do not buy.

With computational photography now being ubiquitous, I use my iPhone 17 Pro Max as often as I use my DSLR for professional assignments. This device is essential for occasional use of the phone on a pro tripod with an Arca-Swiss ball head. It attaches quickly and easily. It is secure during use. It completely obsoletes all of the older/kludgier methods I used to use for this purpose. Design, material and build quality are all comparable to that of the best third-party Arca-Swiss plate manufacturers, while the cost is dramatically lower than that of even one proprietary tripod plate.
