Amazing headset!
Top 10 headsets I've used for sure, audio quality is amazing, microphone isn't the best but for the price it's pretty good and feels wonderful. Only issue I've had is because of how old they are the plastic is brittle and cracks easily so I've had to do some patchwork to keep the thing together, wish I had these when they first came out would have been flawless!

Thin, fragile building materials
I took my headphones off of my head after I felt one side shift down. I meant to adjust it. The pieces that band over your head that slide directly into the earphones themselves are very thin. I was not rough in my handling but the plastic they make these out of seems to have the structural integrity of a graham cracker. The sound quality itself was decent, however, the mic is far too sensitive and picks up what's coming out of the headphones themselves. Don't waste your money.

Great Budget Headset
PROS: - lightweight - comfortable- can wear for hours without ever noticing it - large over-ear cups- fits all ear/head sizes - good sound- decent sound quality for the price but not as good as my Siberia V2 - great mic- mic sounds better than my Siberia V2 CONS: - Mic mute sound is loud and does not inform you whether the mic is muted or not. (1 beep- on, 2 beeps- muted) Overall I was very impressed with this headset for the price!

above average affordable headphones!
When looking to purchase a headset i look to a few things such as sound quality, comfort, style, and microphone quality. This headset does just above average in all categories. The sound quality is above average where it doesn't leave you with any residual noise or irritating sounds that might have you second guessing yourself. The problem that i found with sound quality is that I felt limited in how much i can tweak the tones for my pleasure. The comfort is great. Can wear these for 10+ hours without having to take it off to let my ears breathe. The cushion material is comfortable and doesn't "stick" to my ears after long periods of intense, sweat filled, gaming making these one of the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned. I personally like the style, simple and the illuminating rings give it a very nice touch. Now the biggest downfall for myself as i mainly bought these for gaming was the microphone quality. The quality is pretty bad and my fellow friends say they don't understand me half the time while we're playing so i was disappointed in the end. All in all, for its price its pretty good pair of headphones, but microphone quality may steer many away.

BEST Headset I have ever used!
These headphones are honestly a great investment! Steelseries is a very reliable company with their products in the gaming market - at least in my opinion. These headphones even have their own software you can install from their website to set color changing options for various games and default settings for the headphones themselves. They are comfortable even wearing them for a long time as I have had no complaints or the need to readjust them after a long time of sitting and gaming. The microphone if you can see it is built into the headset (right in the image where the little bump is on the white piece) and I have never had any complaints from my friends that they can't hear me, in fact they tell me they can hear me crystal clear! I love that it is out of my face, not in my way of eating or drinking a soda. The only con I can think of is the cord is a USB cord and when its plugged into the front of my tower it pops out sometimes or tug pulls it out, but this has only happened twice and it defiantly took a little force to pull it out on accident. But also the cord can get in the way sometimes, I wanted a wired headset for better quality and I think its far better than any wireless ones I've used so I have learned to cope with it. I would love to try their SteelSeries Mouse because I've heard good reviews as well.

All that glitters is not gold
While this headset indeed looks flashy, and the illuminated rings on the side are pretty fly( you have to download the software off of their website to get it to work), you don't want this headset, here's why: While the ear cups and headband are soft, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired, and could easily be out performed by cheaper headsets. The microphone is no better, and this may have been my fault when going over the specs, but it turns out the microphone is integrated, as in, it doesn't pull out like other SteelSeries headsets. this wouldn't be an issue, save for my friends being able to hear themselves through the speakers in the cup, considering how close the mic is to it. The mute button works fine, but having to click it loudly against my ear, and enduring the even louder beep kinda dulls the effect, could've been done better. This particular headset doesn't require an auxiliary plug in, as it's integrated into the USB, which might be where the quality comes from, still neat.

Best gaming headset I've owned.
What a great headset! The sound quality is unmatched by equally priced headsets. The highs are crisp and clear, while the lows are deep and properly loud without getting distorted. It's incredibly comfortable, I can easily wear this for 2 hours without my ears getting sore. But it's not a true over the ear design so eventually you will start to get some irritation. It has a nice stylish look. The integrated microphone and mute button are great features. The cord only comes out of the left side of the headset. Only down side is that it is a USB cord, I would rather have the old male plugs and be able to use it on a stereo or phone.

You are better off buying Logitech
This is the third and last thing I'll buy from Steelseries. They don't make "gamer grade" hardware, they make junk that breaks. Just check out the pic of this "gaming" $50 headset. The plastic that connects one of the cups is about to snap right off. I wear this to listen to music while I work and chat on Skype. It's not like I'm a demanding user who constantly adjusts the headset because you know, my head stays the same size from day to day. I don't even dare RMA this because I've had to RMA a $150 Sensei Wireless mouse with them twice too. So buyer beware. It's not just this model headset. I also bought 2 mice from them that had problems. A Sensei RAW which squeaked like a real mouse when you used the scroll wheel, and the Sensei Wireless mouse mentioned above. $150 mouse. Crazy right and you would think that it's awesome. I had to RMA the RMA replacement because it arrived dead in the box. That's what $150 buys you. So basically from the low end $50ish items to the high end items they make, the build quality is very low and it isn't going to last..

Buen precio y buen headset
Suena realmente bien, el microfono integrado no estorba y recibe muy bien el audio. Me gustó mucho el botón de mute en el mismo headset y no en el cable. Las luces lo hacen ver muy bien.

WORTH IT!
This is exactly what I was expecting! for the $40 I spent while it was on sale was sooo very worth it. I don't use the mic tho since I have a Blue snowball but for sound with music and gaming is perfect. Fits my tiny head too and is very comfortable. love the glow! If you can grab it on sale like I did I would say its almost a steal!

The lighting is the gimmick
These headphones are pretty terrible. I got them, unboxed them, and plugged them in. I love the light rings, they're a nice gimmick slapped on a rather bland and annoying pair of headphones. The microphone is bad. I tried a Skype test call, and immediately I noticed the microphone was extremely quiet when I was speaking in my normal volume. 2/10 on the mic. The comfort is a 6/10. I can feel the mesh digging into my skin right now and it's not all that pleasant. But the worst part is the fit. The bottom-half of the ear cups tilt away from my ears, so there's a gaping hole where the seal should be. Also, I've been told that even low-volume audio can be heard by anyone around me. And to top it off, the sound is terrible. Having no sense of sound isolation, it feels like little speakers broadcasting music to people around you, and the speakers are positioned away from your ears. It really sounds like you're listening to the sound bleeding out from the back of little speakers. I don't know what I was thinking when purchasing these.
