Yes it is clear and you are correct you don't want to use k&n's red colored oil unless your filter is red. If it's not buy the clear stuff. Their product works the same as K&n's only the clear oil is for different colored air filters. Hope that helps!

Yes. It's practically the same. I couldn't tell the difference

Look up the business info. for Spectre and K&N. They are literally the same company.

As you spray the oil you will see the fabric part of the filter start to look darker in color, that’s what you need to look for to ensure proper coverage. There is no specific measured amount you as needed!
