We tried to use a sprayer from a kitchen sink and it simply wasn't enough pressure. I would stand over the toilet for ages, wasting water and time, and still have poop on the diapers. I don't think the pressure from a shower head would be adequate. Honestly, I super debated this purchase but it made a WORLD of difference. No more mess, no more wasting time or resources and my diapers are spotless. Definitely worth the investment. I think mine it polished nickle coated but the hose is stainless steel. I threw the box away. Only that it does what I want it to do.
