Review: I wish I had read the reviews prior to getting this model. The instructions are written poorly. Pictures are inaccurate pieces are missing and the pieces that support the lines for the sails are impossible to use you can’t drill because it’s too small of a hole required for these little pieces. They don’t push in, which makes this useless. Wish I never got it.

This is my first ship, so I’m not sure if it’s for beginners or advanced. The instructions are somewhat vague in places. You really have to pay attention to every detail. The quality is very nice and I can’t wait to see if I can actually build this.

I wish I had read the reviews prior to getting this model. The instructions are written poorly. Pictures are inaccurate pieces are missing and the pieces that support the lines for the sails are impossible to use you can’t drill because it’s too small of a hole required for these little pieces. This was my first wood ship model. A great start for an interesting hobby. It is a good value when you consider the price of other ship models and the quality of parts included. The pre-cut planking and decking are a huge plus for a beginner. However, it is not a weekend project. The instructions are minimal. But if you research wood model shipbuilding websites and videos and take your time you can have a nice finished ship. It is more about learning techniques than following step by step instructions.
