Quick Scripture Reference for Counseling Men

This is my third book in this series. I have the Counseling, the Counseling Ladies and just received the youth one. We got it for our Bible/Study time for our 9 and ten year old. We use this to help give them verses quickly for things they are struggling with. Several of the things don't pertain to us and as we don't have a TV and we homeschool, I am not sure they will be exposed to. Lord willing! I use what we need out of it and it works great. Any issue that they are dealing with I can give them the book and the verse and they write it out. Then we read over them during Bible time each day! I love to just go through these books and read straight through them. Just helps keep them fresh in memory! I will actually be purchasing some of these for gifts.

I have every "Quick Scripture Reference for Counseling" book that has been published and this one is by far the best of all so far. I can use it to counsel anyone, not just men! Quite a few more - and more up to date - topics, but also each topic has an "examples from Scripture", "practical application exercises", and "additional resources" sections! An additional bonus is that the book uses several different Bible translations, whichever best fits the topic: NIV, NASB, ESV. KKJV, NLT, and others!

I love this book! It has a great index with about 135 topics. The individual topics are well laid out and break down further to sub headings under the main topic. Most of the scripture references are written out. There is very little opinion given on a topic, simply scripture verses supporting that topic. The spiral binding makes it easy to open and use. It's 8in X 5&3/4in X 1in.

Had need of a covered topic with my first appointment after I received the book. This is a wonderful supplement to the original books.

I recently got this book to help answer tough questions that the teens in my church were asking. I have found that not only did it answer thier qestions but it answered some of my own. This is a great referance to the bible and helps you find alot of the tough subjects that you or your teens my have questions about. As a matter of fact I let one of my teens take this home this week, because he has something on his heart that he wants to research and share with the rest of our class!

This a great reference book! Easy to use and quickly can find what i need.

Often you come upon a situation that isn't as black and white as you'd like. Someone has taken the time to collect all the scriptures that pertain to individual situations that often trouble youth. It doesn't tell you what to think, but gives you the individual scriptures so you can read and decide for yourself what the Bible would instruct you to do.

Gave this as a gift to my sister and she said it has been very helpful to her with her children.

I had flicked through this book previously before having bought it and thought it would help in counselling some of the youth I work with. Its layout is pretty good and easy to get to grips with. It covers many of the areas relevant to young people then offers appropriate scriptures that deals with the subject. Would recommend it.
