Should be required for High School Graduation
This is a phenomenal work. Today's culture of being "politically correct" and "tolerant" of different belief is the definition of cruel and antisocial. However, it is difficult for us to really understand, because the questions we ask are not relevant to the topic. Most Christians know Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong, but our most pressing thought is, how do we get them to go away? What we do not do is invite them in for a serious, honest Bible Study. We need to be able to state clearly why we believe! What is the hope we have? Their best hope is to have someone go toe-to toe, and show them, in Holy Scriptures, that Jesus the Christ is Jehovah. Start by making them define the terms they use. That is only the beginning. There are cults, and within each, individual interpretation. One must have a knowledge base of the obviously incorrect doctrine, of course, but also, some understanding of how to explain to another how and why they got to that point. This book does much to help that.Explain to a Muslim that Allah is NOT another way of saying the Holy One of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is to get you into a useless argument over Hagar's son, Ishmael. It is much better to express very clearly that your hope rests solely upon the fact that Yahshua died, was buried and rose again the third day according to Scripture. But you must let the Muslim explain to you his (or her) thoughts on Jesus.Really, this book goes in depth about most major cults, and, as a Christian, this book stands in a gap swiftly widening. Even among fundamental, independent church buildings, there are too few Pastors, those who teach, exhort and lead. But the largest problem is those who will say, I am right, and that's it. As an American, it is too easy to think that way. Sadly, even if you ate right, the soul you want to lead to faith in Christ resides in a human body, with a brain, and they think the same thing. But obviously, if one is right, the other cannot be, and, how will you explain, if you don't understand how ypur thoughts differ?Buy this book. Read it. It is definitely useful, and, if I had a say, I would compel high school students to read this as a prerequisite for graduation. It is a look into world culture, and, for that alone, a valuable tool.

A must have, for any True Christian, to be able to witness to those caught in a Cult.
This book is so wonderfully written and with such care and love for those lost in the Cults. I have a copy of the original written about 20 years ago, and decided I needed a newer one that will explain more on the original Cult studies, and cover the teaching of the new Cults that have come on the sceen lately. The Kingdom of the Cults is facinating to say the least as it tries to help the Christian understand the Cults to help bring friends and family out of the Cults if at all possible. Its nice how they explain how Cult mentality works for example, Cults really seem to believe that if you try to lead them out of the Cult, you are the one being deceived, not them. And because you are telling them that their "church" is a false Christian church, that somehow makes their church's teaching more true. It is mind boggling to say the least. But with hard evidence from this book, you can lovingly show them how the "church" they are caught up in has lied to them and twisted the scriptures to fit their own doctrines, instead of making their chruch doctrines conform to the Bible. I purchased the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Peal of Great Price along with this book so I could look at the Latter Day Saints actual teaching and see for myself how they contridict the Bible as well as how each of their books contridicts teaching in their other LDS church books too. The books and teachings of the LDS church are so very different from the teachings of the Holy Bible. And The Kingdom of the Cults shows you exactly where the false teachings are located in the Mormon books and how they can confuse and lead a person away from the True teachings of Jesus Christ. I also have the Jehovah Witnesses translation of the bible, and wow, they are going to be in trouble for all the changes they have made to God's Holy Word. I encouraged Christians to start grabbing any litature that the JW's leave laying around at hospitals, dentists offices and the like, you will be helping the cause of Christ by removing these false teaching from the public, plus you will have copies of the JW teachings so you can see how it differs from the Holy Bible. As a Christian, it is heartbreaking to think people are going to go to hell because of the false teaching of the Cults, and how they will never see heaven unless they leave the Cult they are in and come to the Jesus of the Bible before its to late. I pray with all my heart that each person that gets this book and studies it will be able to lead several people away from the Cults and into the Arms of a Loving Heavenly Father through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Maranatha Lord Jesus!

Excellent Book
This is an excellent resource when debating members of cults. Very well written and i would highly recommend this book, especially for the sections Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists.

A great treatise on the subject.
This is a superbly written work to address an important issue. Further, to know that Ravi Zacharias helped edit this edition is very reassuring and adds further credence to an already great resource.

Comprehensive Guide to 'Christian' cults - an eye-opener
Really compehensive guide to some of the biggest 'Christian' cults. I haven't finished reading this yet but it is a fantastic reference book which l will refer to numerous times even once read. My only criticism is that it goes into too much detail about the history of each cult, however this may be personal, as l am more interested in the current day followers and their practices. Overall a really good product.

An Excellent Read
A great book to read in order to learn how cults deceive people who are searching for the truth apart from Jesus Christ.
