The original PSVR was for the PS4. The VR2 can't run in PS4 but the PSVR (original) can run in the PS5 with an adaptator for the PS4 camera (it uses 2 USB ports in the PS5, one for the camera and other to control the video box). **Q: Do you have to have a ps5 to run the vr?** A: Yes. **Q: I guess ill have to buy the controller charging dock separatley but what about the vr headset. does it operate like the ps 4 vr headset?** A: Operationally, the PSVR2 works similarly to the original with a few differences: (1) The IPD is adjusted by a dial, supported by the guide on the PS5; (2) Connects via a single high-speed USB-C cable to the front of the PS5; (3) On the technical side, it has higher resolution, eye tracking, and a simple configuration system. My recommendation is that you get a good brand charger (with at least 4 USB ports) and charge the controllers via a cable (the charger is very fancy, but it costs several times more); I confirm that it is not very uncomfortable and you save money. However, one thing the PSVR2 lacks is its headband system, which is smaller than the original, making it easy to slip out of position and miss the sweet spot; in this case, check out some comfort accessories including top straps, which help keep the unit more firmly in place. **Q: can it play regular games from my ps5 and just act as a display to my eyes , using my regular ps5 dual sense controller? thanks.** A: Yes. You can play regular PS5 games using the regular PS5 controller while in VR. The “screen” floats in front of you in a black void. The Call of the Mountain code is not redeemable and the product itself (the VR) does not work in our region.
