Color My Art: Elegant Faces: Grayscale & Underpainting Coloring Book

Love Ikuko! If you don’t have her first book (Surreal Fantasy) get it!! She’s a great artist and pays attention to detail. I find some artist are a little wobbly when it comes to faces. Her lines and proportions are spot on! Her shading is perfect too. Anyway, also very fun to color. This book is 2 sets of 20 coloring images. She also warns the paper is kinda thin for watercolors but can be done with a card stock or several sheets of paper.

The art is beautiful but the paper is not good quality.

I saw this book on Ann’s color and chat blog, A Colorful Life. And, I love all the pretty faces in a clean layout. It’s a wonderful coloring book if you enjoy plenty of room to enjoy coloring your center of interest without it being jumbled by a lot of additional objects. The portrait-style images are in grayscale and are printed only on one side of the page. That way I am free to use my alcohol markers and not fear bleed through will mess up the following page. It is my first grayscale coloring book and I am delighted with it.

There is nothing negative about this book , only Positive. It is a fabulous book by a very talented Artist. Every page is beautiful ! The paper weight is really good, easy to color on and takes colored pencils well. any kind of medium can be used on this paper. I have used markers, pencils, glitter gel pens and pastels. All work well. And each face to color has something unique and different . This book is well worth buying and coloring. You love making these beautiful faces come to life with color.

Ikuko is simply the best portrait artist for these young girls! Beautiful pictures and you get 2 of each. Great cardstock paper. Can use wet or dry media! I hope Ikuko will bring out a 2nd book of portraits! I’d buy it in a heartbeat! Love coloring or painting these gorgeous pictures!

The media could not be loaded.  Un libro para colorear realmente precioso, tiene unas ilustraciones muy bonitas de hermosas chicas distintas. Los dibujos son en escala de grises, a una sola cara.Para colorear con lápices no hay ningún problema, para utilizar otros medios húmedos si que traspasaría la página pero como los dibujos son solo a una cara no es un gran problema, simplemente recomiendo poner una hoja gruesa por debajo del dibujo que estás pintando para asegurarte que no se mancha la siguiente hoja.A mi personalmente me ha enamorado el libro y lo veo apropiado para cualquier público

This has been my favourite coloring book i have purchased so far! I have finished several of the pictures amd intend tk complete the whole book, i find if i like 5 or 6 pics in a book thats great so to find a book where each age is as aspiring as the next was exciting! Good job on capturing the beauty of faves

Os desenhos são em escala de cinza, mas achei que o cinza é muito escuro e mesmo colorindo, não dá um efeito muito bonito...Até a metade do livro, os desenhos sao com fundo branco e da metade, os desenhos se repentem, mas com fundo preto .Os desenhos são bonitos.

imagens maravilhosas, o pepel e fino e as imagens se repetem, acho que só da para usar lápis de cor ou tintas secas. mas vale a pena. compraria novamente.
