Vivid. Amazing quality for a budget set.
Love this watercolor set. The colors are so vivid and pigmented. The case has a nice build in palette for mixing. After years of not really finding watercolors very much fun, this has made me love watercolor. Highly recommend.

Excellent quality
I saw Lindsey W. The Frugal Crafter on youtube using this palette and it looked great. Her review of this paint was good and I trust her to give an honest review of products.I was super excited to get this set and I am really happy with it! It's a fun and easy set of watercolor paints to use. I've been painting with it for several months and I love it! The colors are highly pigmented and very fun to paint with. I love the variety of bright and muted colors. There are larger paint sets, but 36 colors is a lot and the colors can be combined to make new colors. Although, I normally just used them straight from the pans and have really enjoyed using them. I would definitely buy these again and highly recommend them to anyone.

I love them!
Shortly after starting to play around with watercolors, I took a class and the instructor recommended these due to the quality of the colors and the price point. Until I make the move to professional grade paints, these are my go to. They mix well, there are a lot of colors to choose from, blend nicely, have a nice texture and the pans are the right size. I also enjoy the ability to mix in the lid.

Nice watercolors, palette is okay.
I honestly really enjoyed these paints. While they are not artist grade (aka lightfast), they are still very good quality for the low price. The only complaint I had was the packaging. I disliked the cheap plastic insert that was used to hold the pans and that it was poured and not in half pens. The palette itself was a pretty blue color but the surface underneath the plastic insert was not smooth but had separations that are usually on the mixing tray not on the base. This made it difficult to use it as an empty palette for other watercolor pans. Luckily I had some empty half pans that I used to store these paints but the process of tearing out the cubes of paint was ridiculously difficult. I really struggled getting them out as the company used hot glue for some reason to keep the paints in the insert. this was unnecessary as if you place a drop of water and stick the paint back in, it will not fall out. Also, the insert was glued to the pan itself and once I managed to tear that out, I had to rip the dried glue pieces out of the palette. Overall it took me an hour to prepare this palette lol. So if your buying only for the palette, I would say don’t bother. But if your only concern about buying is the palette and you want the paints, it is hard but not impossible to get the paints out and put them in standard half pans. The ones I had were from meeden and came with the 48 empty pan. They are a little bigger than the regular old half on as far as I can tell. Other than my concerns over the palette, the paints were gorgeous, transparent and mixed very well. It is obvious that they are a student grade version of Paul Rubens as I have the artist grade 48 set as well and it is very comparable. They had a nice color selection but there were no expensive pigments included (like cobalt teal, potters pink, viridian, etc). I noticed that there was a very small selection of browns and that the 2 pinky reds included looked a bit similar. I also dislike that they included a lamp black and a white because with watercolor, unless the white is very opaque, it is typically not much use at all! And the lamp black is usually non granulating so I would have liked an ivory black for mixes. For the price, I would definitely recommend but I would take them out of the plastic insert as otherwise it seems pretty fragile (insert does not stay in palette and moves). Also it looks a bit cheap with the paints in the insert if you care about that sort of thing. Again, the paints mix very well and it is hard to make mud. Actually as I was mixing I noticed that the colors were clean, bright and transparent, which is unusual for student grade sets like this as they are usually more opaque. That is a good thing though as it tells you the quality of the set. I would recommend that anybody looking to make a purchase go to youtube and watch a tutorial from frugalcrafter or kimberlycrickart as both have researched extensively on these and did a very thorough review. But if you have a lot of watercolors, I would pass on these. Also these are probably not for children as I am not sure if they are nontoxic. Should be fine for teens though.

Wonderful Student Paints - I've Purchased Them Twice!
I like these so much, I bought them twice. They are wonderful student paints. They are vibrant, well-pigmented, and the pigment stays distributed in water, working well for washes. They lay down nicely on hot and cold press watercolor paper. The color is easy to lift, even after drying, and blends easily, reducing the need to scrub for the effect.I emphasize student paints because I didn't find enough information about lightfastness, types of pigments and binders used, or the ability to buy the pans as open stock.I would definitely recommend these. I hope the company continues to grow and listen to professional artists so they can move toward true professional watercolor products that meet professional requirements. Be sure to check out their swatch pad in their store!

Great set
Great set. Vivid colors. Lasts a long time. Liked them better when they did not come individually wrapped. Good for replacing but not as easy.

Very Nice Student Grade Pallet
The product was delivered in excellent condition. Each half pan of paint was wrapped and filled to the brim. None of the colors in the half pans were cracked or damaged. The color chart on the back of the cardboard packing box matched the colors in each half pan exactly, but a blank chart was included to make my own swatches. The plastic insert that holds the half pans was in very good shape, without cracks, and was firmly secured to the bottom of the metal pallet. The paint colors are beautiful. They are easy to work with. A plastic watercolor brush/pen was included. I don't care for this type of brush, but it would be handy if you like to paint outside. I am very pleased with this product and would purchase it (or a larger set) again.

They paint well, the colors are nice, I have no issues with them.
I knew to painting, so I’m not sure how important my opinion is, but I have no problems with them. They do the job, and I’m satisfied. I am adding a couple practice paintings. So, don’t laugh too hard.
