It does this regardless of what is plugged in and even with nothing plugged in soon as you press the AC button. Iam having to actually battle it out between desertcart and “Browey” who are both pointing the finger at eachother for responsibility. The short on the AC side is obviously internal and not properly functioning. Not to mention this is dangerous not only to the equipment, all equipment that you plug into the item, but it also poses a serious hazard. The generator is advertised as protection, ease of use, 10 year life span. Really 3 months??? And I’m having to fight for a replacement or refund??? I’m floored. It's so difficult to get things as simple as a portable phone charger sent over here. They all get canceled. I had the opportunity to use this with an inverter fridge, and it worked during the outage with plenty of charge left (80% in the 6 hours I had it on). Even charged my phone on the DC side without its brick, and it did it fast. For the price, it's a steal! It's portable but a bit heavy, you wouldn't carry it on a hiking trip. I feel like this will be my savior during the inevitable power outages in summer. It's reliable, and I believe it would have plenty of power to work with most things needed during emergencies.
