We did try a more expensive collar on one of our dogs where the ticks did no have to attach to die, however two of the dogs, including the one who wore the collar suffered sickness and diarrhoea while he was wearing it. We have had to come back to using this. We use it on 4 dogs and none have had any side effects or no skin irritation. It is one of the better value products for ticks, it does the same thing as the ones that cost twice as much.
