This really does cut that problem in half. There is absolutely no chalkiness, it at least looks and feels just like crystal light, and it still does the job. (Note: it is NOT vegetarian, so don't order this if you're a *strict* vegetarian. I make exceptions when it doesn't look or taste like an animal.) I did not love the flavor. I got the fruit punch flavor and it kind of tastes good for a moment, but has a very bitter aftertaste. In my opinion it DOESN'T taste just like crystal light, contrary to some of the other reviews. At least, that was my experience. I have noticed that I'm a lot more sensitive to bitter flavors than other people in my life, so you may not experience that at all. But if you ARE sensitive to bitter flavors, be prepared to drink this as quickly as possible.
