I understand this is not intended to be a comparison, but I'd say that 90% of the people who purchase or look into this razor are here because of the Futur.I pulled the trigger on the Futur and had to order this along with it to compare. It is 85% of the Futur that is close to 70$, and this razor alone is 12$.Design: ITS BEAUTIFUL.Weight: Slightly lighter due to thinner handleFit and finish: Side by side, you can tell the slight difference between the two. Stand alone, I could tell but I have a machining and manufacturing background.Shave quality: I did not care for it at all. It is super smooth and not harsh whatsoever, but the rounded design makes it less intuitive to find the correct angle to cut. The reason why this bothers me is because I use a DE safety razor is so that I can make less passes on my face, and with this razor I often find myself missing a lot of stubble.With that said. I would really recommend this for someone new to DE or for shaving legs as it is almost impossible to cut yourself on a low setting.In closing, the Merkur Futur absolutely gave me a better shave. The fit and finish was nicer, and knowing the material was better meant that in the end, I would lean towards the Merkur. However, I would still highly recommend this for a gym bag, the office or in case you want to see if it's for you before spending the money. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Looks better than it works *by D***E on March 1, 2019* Looks better than it shaved. The main problem with the design is it doesn’t arch the blade it keeps it total flat. Takes some getting used to a changing of the stroke technique. Still a nice looking piece for the collection that adds a touch of class to the bathroom. The badger brush held together decently. Lost only a bristles. The stand is well machined by not made of the same metals as the razor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Value and Highest Quality *by L***M on June 15, 2020* This set is beautifully crafted and machined of the highest quality materials. My most like feature is the ability to dial in the closeness of the shave... a feature that personalizes its function to your sensitivity and preference. I must say that if you aren't familiar with this razor type go slow and be careful until you can maintain control and get used to its weight. By the third shave I had adjusted my steadiness of angle and pressure. I am very, very pleased with the look, quality, and price. Comparable razor sets are easily 2-3x this price. Oh!
