Well having my first pool which is a 15' above ground I leaned the hard way to maintain the water. First year checked the water every day with test strips and battled to keep it clear. Was buying gallons of liquid chlorine and putting recommended amounts in and had algae problem all the time. Bought algae additive and added that as directed and helped but still constant maintenance and the water looked slightly cloudy and not real clear. Bought clarifier and added that which helped but still wasn't right. The second year started out the same way but thought I would try the tablet route. Bought a floater and HTH 3" tablets advanced . What a difference using 1 tab a week and beautiful clear water. Still have to do some cleaning but this made it pleasurable to enjoy my pool. Can't recommend this enough.

I was for a while struggling to keep my pool algae free. I was using cheap chlorine tablets, but then i first used a 2 step cleaning algae killer on the pool. Got rid of the algae, then switched to these tablets and since then have not had the green algae blooms, i do notice a little algae growth between the folds of my intex pool but I can easily scrub that off and the algae is not coming back every 3 weeks.
