SCOTTeVEST Best Travel Vest for Men - 26 Hidden Pockets - Water Repellent for Travel & More

This is an excellent product. I just used it for a one-week trip to Morocco, which included lots of settings ranging from long flights, desert hiking, camels/motorcycles, crowded marketplaces, and a couple nice meals. I wore this throughout. The vest is very well-made, comfortable, looks good, and was extremely useful for having misc. items tucked away but readily accessible (behind zippers). It seemed secure, kept my pants pockets essentially empty, and left my small pacsafe waist/sling pack free to just carry a couple larger things, uncluttered (mainly just a camera). Lots of options for what to put where based on risk sensitivity, how frequently on-hand it would be needed, etc. I don’t write reviews but I felt strongly that this vest deserved one. A key point for me was that this vest plus a waist pack allowed me to forego a backpack, which meant far less weight on my back/shoulders and therefore less fatigue and back pain overall. A waist pack alone could not have replaced the backpack.

This is a quality product with strong stitching and solid closures. There are pockets everywhere and you could carry more stuff than would be comfortable, but if you are going to carry it this is the vest to do it. I am not exaggerating when I say that you could pack enough stuff for a weekend getaway in this vest. *The larger lower interior pockets will hold an iPad Pro with a case easily. *Many of the pockets are labeled if they have an intended purpose. *The sunglasses pocket has a micro-cloth on a lanyard that is attached inside the pocket. *The back is comparable to a light windbreaker with the front having about x3 the material thickness due to the quantity and location of the pockets. *The earbud pockets on the interior collar are easy to access and acceptably deep but do not have a closure. The lack of a closure is a plus for comfort, but I will not be carrying my iPod Pros in there. I will just use my off-brand earbuds which is a very minor consideration. *The comfort level is excellent with no scratchy seams or stitching that I have noticed. *The collar is lined with a velvet-type material that feels very nice against the skin. *The side hand pockets have both a zipper and magnetic closure which is nice when you need to be taking your hands in and out but want some security of the items in your pocket. *In the right side-hand pocket is a key chain with a lanyard that is attached with a snap loop. Easy enough to remove the lanyard and replace it with your own keys. The lanyard is flexible and would be useful for temporary key storage while traveling (ie. hotel or rental car keys). *One of the greatest perks of traveling with this vest is airport security. I keep everything that is going to set off the detectors in the vest then take it off at security and send it down in a tray for the x-ray. Pick it up on the other side and I am off. *Considering the quality, functionality, and timeless style the price is very reasonable.

This vest is made with excellent quality. It fits well and is true to size. The many pockets kept our important documents and valuables safe during travel. The pockets were also good for keeping the items organized and accessible when they were needed. Everything I have gotten from SCOTTeVEST has had wonderful quality and functionality.

Nicely made vest. In 2022 I had purchased a Aye Gear 26 pocket V26 Vest for $30.00 less (currently unavailable on Amazon). It hasn't let me down and my vest at times weighed more than my carry on which is usually overweight as well. (Shhhh... Don't tell the airlines) The zippers were my concern with repeated use because they seemed less durable. The material was light as well which was fine with me and it has held up nicely. I got an XXL size because it was made in China who seems to like to make clothes smaller than western sizes. It fit fine with what I don't load it up with, meaning I could zip it up while empty, but loaded, no way. So, I decided on this ScottEVest Best Travel Vest for Men - 26 Hidden Pockets, XXL, and also made in China (they seem to make everything). The zippers are a better quality and there appears to be more usable pockets than my other vest. I haven't tried it on a trip yet having just received it. Only three points of criticism from my point of view: Both vests have pockets to be able to use wired ear phones. Why? Who uses those these days? I've been using ear buds for years now. Another factor is the ScottEVest is slightly heavier when empty. Maybe that's why the model is wearing a long sleeved t-shirt in the photos. I live and work in a hot climate and I know this is going to make me sweat. Even the other vest made me sweat the last trip and I had just a t-shirt on under it. Lastly, I'm glad I got the XXL ScottEVest , but I wish it was just a bit bigger. It's not a true XXL. I don't mind it being loose because it allows room to breath when loaded. I'm not into form fitting garments. It is however a bit bigger that my older vest, so the next trip will tell all. I do recommend this vest so far, but remember, size up at least to the next size if you plan on carrying as much as I do. 19 AUGUST 2025 Update: I finally got to try this on two international trips this year. It worked out amazingly. Plenty of pockets for my needs and I stuffed it as usual with room to spare. As I mentioned previously, it was almost as heavy as my carry-on so you have the ability to carry your essential items and any valuables you don't want to check-in with your luggage. I like that the RFID pocket was big enough for my leather passport wallet and that the zipper is colored red so it's easily identifiable. One thing to mention is because there are so many pockets, at times I forgot which pocket an item I was looking for was in. It's a lot of pockets to go through especially when you're tired while traveling. I'm glad I went up one size because it did benefit my needs. I did sweat through my t-shirt as I mentioned previously would happen but between the environment and my vest load that was to be expected. I just left it unzipped to vent as much as I could. Overall a great vest and I recommend it still especially because of the easy of passing through airport security. No loose items in the bin for peace of mind when traveling through a busy airport screening area. Just take it off and put it in a bin.

Purchased this for an upcoming vacation to Europe, but have been shaking it down on my business travel. Big plus is the two breast pockets which make getting through TSA at the airport an absolute dream. Everything in my pants pockets (wallet, phone, chapstick, eyedrops, small flashlight, etc.) go into the breast pockets. Two pen pockets mean I don't have to hunt for my pen. Convenient eyeglass pocket as well as an attached eyeglass cleaner are fantastic. Bonus, the eyeglass cleaner has a diagram of all of the pockets. There is also an RFID pocket for your passport and other RFID sensitive items. So far this vest is a homerun. The size runs pretty true. I ordered a 2XL because I wanted a looser fit, but not baggy, so the fit is good, in particular over a sweatshirt or sweater. It does appear to be well made and the zippers are some of the better I have encountered. That said, the two zippers on the two large front pockets are a bit finicky, but manageable. All of the other zippers are smooth operators. There are ample pockets for most anything you would carry on a days journey from extra glasses, pens, sketchbook or journal, phone, documents, maps, etc. There is a large back pocket that is for a tablet, though I cannot attest to the fit. My iPad has a protective case, so have not tried the fit. Overall, quality and fit are great.

This vest has far more pockets than I will ever use. Some of them I don't even think I've found yet! Some of the pockets are so small, I wonder if they would even contain an Apple Air Tag, while at least two are large enough to contain a full-size iPad Pro, and still get the zipper closed. However, I cannot imagine actually putting a tablet into either of those pockets, because then I could not sit down without fear of damaging the tablet. Just because it will fit in those pockets doesn't mean it's a good place to carry them. I plan on wearing this vest on a cruise this summer, just because of all the pockets; therefore, I have already worn it quite a bit from home, while the weather permitted. It seems fairly comfortable, and of a good weight - VERY windproof, and not too heavy for warmer weather. I had to remember that in the movies of the old West, the men in those movies wore long-sleeved shirts AND a vest, and their weather often had to be in three digits (F). So I guess I can wear it on a summer trip. My biggest complaint with this vest is that it's about 4" too long, in that it gets in the way of me getting to my pants pockets. This is truly only a minor aggravation, as it's fairly easy to work around it. Overall, the quality of the fabrics and the workmanship seems excellent so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works for me on the long trip.

I've had other Scott eVests and jackets and loved them. After losing weight, I invested in this one and, again, I love it. It's a perfect fit. The pockets are plentiful and the big one will hold my MacBook Air! It makes traveling so much easier since you're allowed two carry-ons and a vest isn't considered that. I put my carry-on case overhead and once we're "wheels up," I'll pull the electronics, cords, snacks, etc. out of my vest. It's comfortable, snug without being tight. The zippers work smoothly. And it'll stand up to some light weather (I wouldn't be out in heavy rain in just a vest.) So yeah! I'm a fan of the Scott eVest line. Good stuff and I'm a return customer. Amazon has it for the same price as their website. For me, that's a plus because if I need to do a return, it's through Amazon. Luckily, I'm not doing a return! I'm keeping this one and might get another!

Exactly what I have been looking for travel and airports. So many zippered pockets. Items will not fall out of pockets when I fold vest to go through airport scanners, my wallet, phone, keys, passport, airline tickets, & small heavy items to avoid over weight carry on fees. Plus many of the countries I visit have very talented pick pockets. The zippered pockets on the interior of the vest provide maximum protection from theft and falling out of pockets. The vest also looks good and is good quality. It's is perfect for my needs. Note: Amazon stated it thought a large would be the best fit. No idea why because I wear XL. I am in the US and the size was accurate to other US clothes I wear. It is a perfect fit. I would definately but again. I have even debated on buying a second one I love it so much

ScotteVest are expensive but unique. The plethora of pockets are great when travelling and even though you can be weighed down with keys, camera, passport, documents, books, camera, wallet, cash etc etc from the outside no one would guess. I am never without my ScotteVest waistcoat even when wearing ScotteVest trousers, shorts or jacket.
