Review: We had a wonderful time grilling in the backyard with this product and the meat came out perfectly juicy and delicious. We much prefer the charred marks on our meat à la yakiniku style over the Korean bbq plates with no holes in the middle. The material is durable and good quality. Due to this style of grilling, do expect copious amount of smoke. Best suited for outdoors grilling (yard, balcony, common grounds, public parks, etc.) or very well-ventilated kitchen. Product comes with 2 mesh grill plates but we find it more convenient to order extra of these so we can just toss them when done cooking. They are incredibly hard to clean once used and the elbow grease required is just not worth it. The mesh plates can be purchased in bulk for as little as $6 for 5 plates. Pros: produces beautiful charred marks Cons: very smoky, hard to clean mesh plates.
Review: The material appears to be sturdy. Pairs nicely with the Iwatani Yakiniku Pan with the added bonus that it works really well to provide heat to prepping smores without the camp fire. :-)

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this work over a conventional full size indoor gas stove in the kitchen? Or does it have to be one of the small propane ones?**
A: I use it on my gas range in the kitchen. It has notches to fit over the burner that keep it in place.

**Q: Anyone get food stuck on it? Is it good to rub oil or butter on the screen?**
A: Usually this type of grill gets meat stuck on it in the beginning due to no oil and hot wires. You should rub fat (not butter or spray oils) on the hot grill b4 you put the actual meat. Usually if your cooking steak you get some chunks of fat around the meat, you use that. I geuss butter should be okay too but i think butter will burn on grill. Hope it helps.

**Q: Does fat grease get in the stove burner?**
A: No.  There is a perforated plate that covers the burner section.  The perforations are angled in such a way as to cause grease to run around the holes.

**Q: Can you use aluminum foil on the bottom to catch the drips?**
A: Not really. There is a ring that fills with water and the center portion has a plate with holes that allows for airflow for the flame.

I bought this grill accessory for my Iwatani gas stove so we could have yakiniku at home. It appears to be well made with steel and finished off with an enamel coating. The product provides clear instructions on how to use it and we used the grill as instructed. After a single use , the enamelware on the central grill plating started to come off exposing the steel underneath. The day after, the exposed steel started to react with the open air to form a coating of rust. After reading through a separate leaflet in English, there's a disclaimer and health hazard warning advising materials used to produce the grill may be classed as a carcinogenic under the state law of California. Safe to say, I requested a refund for the grill. I haven't heard anything from Amazon yet, so we'll will see what happens. So we're concerned that Amazon would offer this product for sale considering the manufacturer's upfront admission the product may be a health hazard. I wouldn't take the risk and buy it.
