San-J - Gluten Free Teriyaki Sauce - Well-balanced Sauce for Cooking - Non-GMO - 10 oz. Bottle

I was so happy to find this item on Amazon because I have been having difficulty locating it in my local stores. As a family with celiac, it is important that we have gluten-free products, which this teriyaki sauce is. It is made with gluten-free tamari, rather than soy sauce. Many lines make a tamari, but not a teriyaki sauce. San-J has created an absolutely delicious sauce using the gluten-free tamari. The sauce has the perfect balance of salt and sweet. Upon initially opening the bottle, the product is somewhat watery, but quickly cooks down into a thick sauce, which is absolutely perfect for basting chicken or adding to rice and vegetables. The bottle was well packaged, and there was no leaking or breaking. I have in the past seen this product in stores for slightly less money, but because it is so rare to find it, it is definitely worth the price that I paid.

If you want a sweet sauce this isn't for you. this sauce is very good as a tangy soy sauce substitute. it's not super sweet, so don't expect a sweet sauce like at a teriaki resturaunt. other wise, the sauce is excellent! it goes well in stir fries, noodle bowls, and anything with a rice base basicly.I have not tried marinating with it, but I'll try it soon. I'd recomend.

If you have a gluten allergy or celiac, this sauce is perfect when you crave Asian food. I have used it for making shrimp fried rice, teriyaki salmon, and others. It tastes delicious and you can’t tell the difference between the regular teriyaki and this gluten-free sauce.

Great tasting and very healthy Teriyaki Sauce by San-J. Also GF.

I learned that typical soy sauce is made with 50% wheat and 50% soy beans, and therefore contains gluten which my wife cannot tolerate. Consequently, most other sauces which have "soy sauce" as an ingredient contain gluten. Tamari is made with 100% soy beans and is gluten free. So sauces like this teriyaki are now available gluten free because it's made from tamari. My wife can now eat Asian foods I cook. We just moved to Hawaii and this sauce is available by order at prices much lower than we can buy locally. Win all around.
