However, it works like a charm! I tried it first on some grated cheese & wow! It had such a smoky flavour, it was delicious. I can see myself using this for all kinds of things, from smoked meats & fish to nuts, cheese & even drinks! (I had a very expensive bottle of smoked water that was delicious in things like mashed potatoes & chilli I'm hoping to recreate this too...) its really easy to use, just stick a few bbq chips in (I understand you can also use things like herbs & tea), set fire to them & point the hose at your food - I just kind of waved it around the cheese for a minute or so (but it probably didn't need anywhere near that long as it was extremely smoky tasting). I'm excited about the culinary delights I can now create & I think I will get a couple more as Xmas presents for family members too! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gives smoked flavour, but expensive *by E***V on 23 July 2019* It is quite expensive. Normally this process takes several hours during, I need to set up and maintain the smoke carefully. I bought this smoking gun on a whim and am pleasantly surprised with the results. It takes about 30 seconds and a pinch of wood chips (maple in this case) to convey a pleasantly smokey flavor to my Sunday roast. The machine contains a small fan that leads the smoke from the top through a tube to your food. It works with drinks too! If you don't have the time or simply my are too lazy to set up a full blown smoke (pun intended) this device is smoking!
