Supernatural Childbirth Review: Painfree is so much better!! :) - My first child I had a miscarriage, my second a 23 hour extremely painful birth which ended with 4 degree tears & even more recovery pain that took weeks. And then 7 months later another pregnancy where I was sick 8 out of the 10 months I was pregnant (he was 3 weeks late so it really was 10 months :) and though the birth was shorter, 3 hours, it was the most intensely painful 3 hours I had ever experienced--contraction on top of contraction with no rest. And while my beautiful children were so worth it, the thought of another pregnancy or birth was terrifying to me. A year later I became pregnant again in spite of using protection constantly (it was just God's will :) and this time I had horrible nausea, much worse than any of the others. I later discovered why, I was pregnant with twins!! :D While this was ultra exciting I was also so fearful, I had never heard anything but horror stories in deliveries of twins. My first two births had been drug free, and though incredibly painful, I still wanted this one to be drug free too. A friend at church gave me a tape of a lady talking about this book, all of the scriptures, and her personal experience. I listened to the cassette tape several times, wrote down all the scriptures and prayed over them every other day from the 5th month on. I prayed especially hard that they would not be born prematurely and would be born on God's appointed day for them. And also believing God for a painfree birth. It was the most wonderful pregnancy I ever had and I praise God so much for it! And I am so grateful to my friend for introducing this to me. At 5 months pregnant I was already beginning to be quite large, in fact I was as large as my sister-in-law who was 8 1/2 months along--and she wasn't tiny. It was getting to the point where I could not walk, and I had been a very active person. I didn't want to gain a lot of weight like I had with my first so I started taking communion at home each day and praying over the pregnancy and childbirth scriptures. After three days I could walk!! After that I walked a 1/2 mile in the morning and 1/2 mile at night till I was 7 months along--then I swam in a friends pool. It was great, I felt so light!! Praying over the scriptures was awesome, God's word works. After I started that I never had any nausea, backaches, leg cramps, swelling, hearburn, no new stretch marks and I slept great (other than a couple night trips to pee :). It was a total miracle! The best pregnancy I had ever gotten to have, because before I had all of those symptoms in abundance except heartburn wasn't real bad with the others--but I had none with these! When I was 8 months along the doctor said I had dilated to a 4 and would have the babies any time now. I cried driving home, they would be a month early, and it made me so sad. I just heard God whisper to me "Trust Me". So I did, and I just kept praying the scriptures. Whenever I would have a moment of doubt or fear my husband was such a strength, he would just remind me what God's word said and help strengthen my faith with his strength. The last appointment I went in on Tuesday, I told the doctor I felt like it would be Sunday so for him to be ready. I bet he thought that was weird, but I gave him a heads up anyway. :) I was going twice a week, once for a sonogram and once for fetal monitoring. On Friday I called and canceled my appointment and told them I felt like they were arriving on Sunday so if they didn't come then I'd come in Monday. Sure enough Sunday afternoon the contractions started, they were 38 weeks to the day. They were coming very gently and with no pain, I could just feel the stretching. I went in at 3pm and I was dilated to a 6 1/2. After a few hours it had went up to an 8 but then by 10pm I had never moved past an 8. No pain, just stretching. I was bouncing on the beach ball they had in there, walking around, jumping up and out of the bed for bathroom breaks--the nurses were so incredibly amazed that I could get around so easily with carrying twins. I was huge, my friend called me a triple decker, but praise God I was still able to move around easily. :) The twins literally sat in my lap once I hit the 6 1/2 month mark, and then it grew out from there. Which makes it all the more amazing that I didn't get any new stretch marks!! :) Anyway, at 10pm the doctor asked if I would like my water broken so I did--I figured if they were to be born on Sunday we didn't have much time left! :) 30 minutes after that the stretching got stronger and my friend, my husband and I started praying in tongues. It just seemed like a few minutes after doing that the first baby started coming down! I hollered to get the doctor fast!! I had such a strong desire to push, he asked me to wait till the pedi got there. I said NO I need to push!! He said ok then, but let me get my gloves on and get ready first!! The only uncomfortable part was as she moved through those bones, I just do not like that feeling. Ugh. I still shudder, I can remember that feeling with every one of my kids. But that was the only uncomfortable or remotely uncomfortable part, whohoo! Calleigh Jorja was born in two pushes, then six minutes later Cadence Bethany was born breech with three pushes. All without medication, all painfree!! Oh, I highly, highly recommend it!! It was just so wonderful. :) They were born August 28, 2005--the night Katrina hit landfall. Calleigh weighed 7 lbs 1oz and Cadence weighed 7 lbs even. They'll be 3 years old this Thursday, it is so awesome. Isn't that a wonderful miracle of God? Born healthy and a nice weight, and a wonderful pain free birth too! Next time I am going to pray for painfree afterpains, those were killer but thankfully they were over in a couple of days. After 3 days I was walking around, carrying them around and acting like nothing had ever happened! It was just so awesome, God is so good. It kind of upsets me when people try to explain away the good things God has provided for us. Or they try to use their personal experience to negate the word of God. I mean, if that was a valid argument people could just say Well, not everyone is saved so God doesn't want to save anyone!! That is just ignorant to me. They suppose that just because it didn't work for them it couldn't work for anyone else. God's word won't work if you have unbelief, and it won't work if you don't any faith or belief for it. The two work against each other, faith and unbelief, and unbelief can cancel a persons God given faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) Matthew 17:19-22 clearly shows that praying and fasting is the remedy to unbelief. So that is why saying those scriptures and praying over them everyday works. If you waited till the day before you went to give birth to try it I would imagine it would be harder to quelch the unbelief and let the faith be pure enough to let God's word work! So combine hearing the word, praying the word, and fasting and watch the results of the word of God work in your life too!! Now, I will say when pregnant you are not supposed to fast food or water as that has been known to throw people into pre-term labor. Dehydration and lack of omega-3 essetial fatty acids are two of the main causes of pre-term labor. So if you want to fast while pregnant fast something important to you such as Tv, computer, ect. would be my recomendation and spend that time that you would have spent otherwise doing those things with the Lord. Anyway, I hope this testimony blesses someone's life and helps them see that God is the same--yesterday, today and forever and that he is no respecter of persons. What He will do for me He will do for anyone. :) You just have to believe and purify that belief by squelching the doubt, fear, and unbelief!! :) Review: Thank God For This Book!!! - I purchased this book back in 2008 on the suggestion from my OB GYN. We had a daughter 14 years ago when we were told we would not be able to have another child..we were trying since 2005. Well I read the book and asked God to let me experience childbirth naturally and you know what? He gave me exactly what I asked for. The only thing that I didn't fully grab hold to is it being totally pain free. I don't want to be winded but I didn't realize that I was having true contractions because they did not hurt. It wasnt until I noticed that I was experiencing them closely and my water broke that I realized I needed to get to the hospital. The pain began after the water broke. But can I tell you that I had our second daughter in about 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital and I was already 8cm when I got there! God Is Good!!! Our first daughter was not coming out..I had an epidural so things were real different than this time. Also I had experienced bleeding with this 2008 pregnancy that the doctors could not figure out where it was coming from. I stood on Gods word that "I will not miscarry..He will fulfill the number of our days...Exodus 23:25-26. When I went for the check up everything was fine. I was even dilating in my 6 month and they wanted to put me on bed rest (I am an RN) I prayed and cut 4 hours (was working part time 20 hours week) and even that (dilation & effacement) stopped. I will apply the pricipals again this time because I am currently 38wks and 5 days pregnant with daughter #3(this was not expected or planned) and I have been telling and giving this book to friends that are having difficulty conceiving or keeping pregnancies. This book is excellent because she comes from the word of God...God's word never changes its the same yesterday, today and will be forever more. I cant wait to report when my most recent friend gets pregnant as a result of her reading this book...I will definitely update. Update...Really different this time...I had daughter #3 on April 17th...I wanted this baby to come before our at the time 17 year old daugher's prom. Well she came alright. I had no problems or issues..just had a check up the morning of April 17th and went home. I started feeling tightening and relaxation..when it started to be every 3 minutes I figured something was not right expecially when I saw blood. The contactions were not hurting this time..I was able to pray and thank God for a safe delivery. Long story short the baby had moved from the correct position to lying across my stomach (transverse lie) I had to have a c-section...they almost could not get our daughter out but by the grace of God I know he was there with us. My point things did not go as planned but He kept both of us safe. I then prayed for a quick recovery and received that as well. This book definitely helps but most importantly don't forget to "turn off" the faith...if you don't want another child...This is what happened to us...this 3rd child was NOT planned or expected. Hope this book will be a blessing to you as it has to me :0)

Must have for pregnant mommas seeking a natural and divine birth
Love this book, a must if you want a natural and unmedicated birth. This book does not guide you on doing it, it strengthens your faith on trusting that you can do it, the way He intended birth to be. Our body was built to birth and this book reminds you that this process should not be painful.

Inspiring truth.
I just read this book in a few of hours. I used Hypnobabies for my last two births, which both ended in different medically necessary c-sections. The hypnosis worked. I didn’t feel the 17 hours of highest level Pitocin contractions with my first or 4 days of labor and 12 hours of pushing with my second. Hypnosis also got me through both c-sections, a tongue tie revision, and a root canal when anesthesia didn’t work for me. However, because of my birth trauma and knowing I will need pain relief if I have another c-section this December, my hypnosis has become an anxiety trigger and not working. Hypnobabies doesn’t attribute any of its benefits to God, but has similar faith and knowledge based principles. Supernatural Childbirth points out so much truth from the Bible and really brings out how faith overcomes fear. Already today my faith was tested and I used Bible verses and quotes from the book to overcome the medical issue and fear I was experiencing. I know God is guiding my pregnancy and birth and I can call on Him for help, knowledge, and strength. I plan to use my knowledge of hypnosis, extensive birth research, and the truth from this book with all the inspiring testimonies to submit to God throughout this pregnancy and birth, reducing/removing the fear and anxiety I’ve had the last 24 weeks. Thank God this book and other fear removal inspirations have been randomly presented to me over the last week. I haven’t felt this good since before pregnancy and I can even feel my body shifting in a very positive way with no pain in just 24 hours of committing to God. P.S. Pray Holy Spirit shows you truth and anything you don’t need while reading this. Chapter 6 had a section that was false (but you also have to consider the time period it was written in) and another section that directly spoke truth to my medical issues. Holy Spirit made it perfectly clear on what I was to ignore and what I needed to write down for continued focus.

Best childbirth book
This book tells it like it is. Since reading this book, I have successfully had 5 'supernatural' childbirths, with out fear and pain. The book is about God's promises about conception, pregnancy and childbirth. Even if you are not a christian, you can still get a lot of information from this book. I believe it was an answer to my prayer after my second child. I was not totally happy with that labor and delivery. It got me looking into what God wanted for my births. I found out, what God wanted for my births, I wanted too. After my 3rd child was born in a hospital 'supernaturally', I decided to try a homebirth my next one. Now, I have homebirthed 4 babies and am planning on my 8th baby to be a homebirth as well. I love it so much, I don't want to do it any other way. I highly recommend this book, even though it does not promote home birth. The book has many scriptures and prayers pertaining to conception, miscarriage, pregnancy and childbirth. I am a testament that you can have a pain and fear free delivery. For reference, here is my delivery history: My first child was a planned c-section, 2nd was born in a hospital with pitocin and epidural (42 hr labor!), 3rd was hospital 'supernatural' (no fear or pain, so no need for drugs), 4th was at home 'supernatural', 5th & 6th - water homebirth 'supernatural', 7th - homebirth 'supernatural' (1 1/2 hr labor!, no time to fill pool!). I am excitedly awaiting our 8th baby's water homebirth. My husband 'delivered' (caught) all my homebirths, as there is not a midwife who can do homebirths in my area. I do however see a midwife for my prenatal care. She knows my record of successful births and supports me wholeheartedly. I do recommend having a midwife to attend homebirths, especially if it is your first baby. First babies are notorious for long labors. This recommendation is so long because I want other mothers to know how wonderfully natural birth can be, if they choose it (and that I'm no flake!). :) I have a wide range of experience with birth, from planned c-section (no labor), very long first labor - 42 hrs (second child), to a very short natural, pain and fear free 1 1/2 hr birth. The water births were my best births, I highly recommend water birth also. Thanks for reading my long rating. God bless and happy birthing! :)

blessings to my soul
Love the author and her faithful testimony! Love the Bible scriptures and prayers within the book. This was just a faith building book! It was recommended to me by a lady who purchased the book and could not conceive, but now has 3 children. Praise be unto God!

It never hurts to ask
So I love the premise of this book, which is that you can ask God for anything your heart desires, like an easy labor or even a blue-eyed baby, and He might just give you what you ask for! I'm very pro-prayer, not just for the big things, but for the little things, too. All the things. Pray within ceasing! On the other hand, the message of this book sounds kind of prosperity gospel, i.e. if God doesn't answer your prayer, you just didn't have enough faith. That being said... my prayers for an easy labor weren't answered this time around. It was incredibly painful. Not only that, but my baby was stillborn. I just don't want you to go into this book thinking it's a foolproof way to "get" God to bless you exactly the way you want. And I prayed with all my heart for my baby and even my labor throughout the pregnancy and believed God could answer all my prayers big and small if He chose. Well... we don't always get what we'd like, and like Job, I may never know why He allowed my child to die. I'm not saying this to knock prayer or harm anyone's faith—on the contrary, I plan to re-read this when I'm (God willing) pregnant with my rainbow baby and I intend to pray just as hard if I'm blessed with another pregnancy! I still have faith. Please read this book, but don't be angry at God if it doesn't "work" like it did for the author and the women with the powerful testimonies.
