Affective on our short haired dog
We use this on our short haired dog as it penetrates well and soaks the skin. It might not be as affective on our long haired dog but we have never tried it. The only draw back is our short haired dog has a greasy streak down the back for a couple of days but she is free of fleas.

We NEVER have fleas. Ever.
I’ve used this on all my dogs for about 10 years now. Every dog responds to it the same and we never have fleas, ever! My dogs don’t itch until just about when I need to reapply. That being said when I brought in a new flea bag riddled with ticks and fleas, it took about a month to rid both dogs of them using this and shampoo because they were everywhere in the house! We literally have not had fleas in our home for about 8 years and it’s amazing! Btw we lived in FL then SC and now NC if y’all are worried about the climate.

It doesn't work
Not only did it not work for my dogs. It's greasy and messy on their fur. And I don't like for my grandchildren to pet them and get it on thru hands. And it stained my bed comforter when my dog laid on my bed. Now it looks like I have a grease stain that I can't get out.

Good product for a great value
I like this brand very much. I have used it for about six years. The price is a side benefit, which makes it an excellent product for two reasons.
